Cox doesn't allow you to access their mail servers with another isp, go to http://cox.net
and use their webmail login to access your email, it will allow you send and receive.

I'm using a wireless remote and I'm out of town...
I have cox cable internet and get my mail through incredible mail (somewhat like outlook express)my problem is I'm unable to send email and I guess receive...It looks like internet is coming through Port Magic Courtesy of the AOL Service.
I think it has to do with the POP and the
STMP but I don't know what they would be...
any help is so greatly appreciated and I Thank you in advance.

hugs and kisses
Terri

Terri call Glen of Phoenix 411 or email him.He is a wiz with anything to do with computers.I am sure he can help you out.

Jordan, I emailed you a while back inquiring about when you may be coming back to FL.  Are you still planning a trip here in Jan?  I would love to schedule a time to come see you if our schedules permit.  Thanks, and have a wonderful holiday.

Hi Terri,

Don't think you will be able to access your email on anything like outlookexpress while your accessing the net via another ISP.

Fortunately you can use "Webmail". Webmail let's you access your cox email via a webpage like you would for a Yahoo or Hotmail account.

Just go to this url below and log in with your cox username and password and hit "webmail" on the menu to the left.

Hope this helps,

-Glen

Terri,

Curious what happens when you try to access your email via Cox's webmail?  I'm on the road alot and since I don't have outlook express on my corporate notebook I access my personal email via cox's webmail.  Did you get some type of error message....just curious.  Would love to help you out :-)

...not fade away

Cox makes you pay for the priviledge of "RELAYING".  Ain't that special?

Webmail takes time for many email accounts, butt it's best until you are ready to upgrade.  You can get a business account to relay and have seperate ip addresses and more...and you WILL pay ALOT more...butt you can write it off...lol.  (sounds like a damn commercial)

I can show you some better email programs, messengers and bloggers to expand your horizons.  Wait until you want a member's area or merchent account...lol.

We can web design, edit, network or set up a video center for you too...so many possibilities to learn...there's not to much I haven't explored now...GEE I bet I could get a job doing this now...hmmm what a thought.

Isn't it great to have freinds...call when you need me girlfriend.  I must say Glen and Webby are the BEST and so sweet TOO!!!

I hope your cox is flowing again,

MISS Candy Cane

Sure, the company gives you a discount if you also use their cable television services, but then you have to pay more for a stupid box for HDTV -- only to find out there is a better solution. I guess I need to become more familiar with electronics. Heck! I do everything else -- remodeling, painting, plumbing (yuk), etc.

Hugs,
Ciara
