Okay, they say never to yell help, always yell fire to get attention. So, now that I have yours, I need some help.
I'm bored. INCREDIBLY BORED. School doesn't start until July 26th, trip to San Diego with the boy isn't until next Wednesday, I haven't had any work, mainly because since the move to the new house, I'm out of an incall location, so.....I'm going to create a website for myself. Initially, I was going to pay someone because I didn't want the hassle, but now I have nothing but time so I'm going to take a stab at it. Sorry Glen!
What I need are ideas for a domain name. www.playmatemegan.com/.net/.biz sounds like shit to me and megan.com/.net, et al doesn't sound much better. Since I can't really change my name and don't want to, I need the help of some of the creative folks floating around here. Yeah yeah, I know I'm the one who works in advertising, but alas, like a psychic is never psychic about herself, an artist is never very creative when it comes to herself-so, I need help.
Now, to give some idea to those who've never met me about my personality:
I'm a complete nerd. IQ of 169, I'm a homebody, not a partier, teetotaler and have never done drugs with the exception of marijuana for three months five years ago with my Dr.'s blessing. I'm an avid reader of fiction as well as biographical and non-fiction, hate history, love psychology and law and am actually pursuing a degree in criminal justice. Let's see, I'm a clean freak, but not in the bad kind of way, I'm into designer duds, but I don't think I'm high maintenance, I'm a snob but not a bitch, and I'm a complete wannabe WASP.
Now, here's what's in it for you. I'm offering $50 off of an hour appointment to the person whose idea I end up using. If you're a provider, I'm offering lunch and a $50 gift card to a store of your choice, or hell, just $50 cash.
I'm going to start working on the body of the site now, but I'd like to go ahead and purchase a domain by Thursday or Friday, (bored, remember?) so if you have some nifty ideas, I am, as Ross Perot once said, all ears.

Megan- I have been in your position (business-wise, that is). Here are the 6 tips by professionals for picking a domain name: 1. A good domain name is short. 2. A good domain name is memorable. 3. A good domain name is not confused with others. 4. A good domain name is hard to mispell. (e.g., It is better not to use "-" or "_" because people may get them confused) 5. A good domain name conveys your business or service. 6. A good domain name is relates to your core audience.
So based upon these rules (and a 5-minute phone conversation we once had) here is what I came up with using these rules: - Megan4Fun.com - Megan4Love.com - SeducedByMegan.com (my favorite)
I did the same as you (my own website) and I have to recommend that you at least start with a professionally designed template and go (i.e., learn) from there. There are alot of bad ones out there (i.e., looking like they come from a template), but if you are willing to spend $30-$60, you can save a hell of a lot of time with learning the technical details and start with a "look" that you want. Email me and I will send you some good links. Whatever you do, shop around.
