There are two realities here that most guys are unaware of. Maybe making them aware of it might help avoid such unpleasantries in the future.

1) TER is a for profit site. To optimize profitability, TER features agencies and higher-end independent providers. Or, in other words, TER caters to a retail market. You may very well find the same item you saw at Neiman's at Wal-Mart, but it's not in TER's best interest to help you find it at the latter store.

2) It is absolutely the lady's perogative what the fee will be, no matter how ridiculous it seems to the prospective client. Frankly, because in many cases the posted rate is more a wish than what she actually charges real clients, it can be difficult to take the pricing end seriously at times, but at the very least, the posted rate must be accepted at face value, at least for discussion purposes here.
