In the past 3 weeks I have been shorted 3 times. Once client who I have seen before, handed me 2/3 of my advertised rate after the session was over, promising me he would make up for it next time. Another client left his envelope on the table (most hobbyists who are experienced do this) and after he left I realized he shorted me half of the 2 hour session we had. A week before the same thing had happnend. I don't like asking for my donantion and I will never count bills in front of a client (should I ?)I thing it is tacky, tasteless and can ruin the mood and moment. I like for my clients to feel trusted, comfortable and important, because they are to me! Any suggestion and insights greatly appriciated. Have a wonderful weekend everyone..Starina

I guess my opinion differs from the norm. If the lady wants to count the money in front of me, I have no trouble with her doing it. I would rather she feel comfortable, knowing that it is all there, than be distracted with wondering. Sometimes I make a mistake and if there is a problem I want her to point it out and not think I am a jerk. One time the lady even returned some of my money, I had gotten a $100 mixed in with some twenties and overpaid her. I gave it to her as additional tip, honesty shoud be rewarded In my business life I pay off my contractors and I always ask them to make sure it is correct. Dependable people deserve to be paid what they have earned. If they are shorted they may not tell you about it and think you are chaeting them.

Basically it comes down to the fact that if all parties are being honest, checking the count should not upset anyone.

Those clients must have balls the size of grapefruits! What a bunch of assh%*&, I'd never do business with that person again. I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I PLACE IN AN ENVELOPE, and have no qualms with the count, we're not sitting at a poker table. No pun intended.

If the client is new, count the money.  If everything is okay then there should be no problem.  As you are counting, you might briefly explain that you have been short changed in the past and you cannont afford to be again.  After that business is completed, give the client a big kiss and make him feel relaxed and comfortable.  If the client makes a big deal out of you counting the money, perhaps you should hand it back to him and ask him to leave.

I do not mind if the ladies check that the fee was paid correctly.  I have seen some that do,  and others that don't.  I have never been offended by those that do.  As Michael noted if folks are honest they should not mind.  
Do the ladies prefer the envelope thing?  I never do that as I think if easier without one  for the lady  to see that all is correct.

I agree with both Michael and Modprod on all points. With me, I prefer the money in the envelope thing. I guess I am a very trusting person on the client to put the full amount in. Knock on wood, I have never been shorted.

Most of the ladies I have seen prefer the envelope. When I am seeing a lady for the first time, I usually leave the envelope open on the table with the money fanned out so she knows that it is all there. Ladies I have seen a number of times, I just place the envelope where they can see it. I prefer to use colored envelopes, so they don't get mistaken for something else

Biggest problem when seeing a favorite lady is that we get so caught up in the action, that we both forget about the envelope. I have gotten half way home a couple of times and had to return, calling first. When the little head is having fun, the big head is sleeping

I'm a provider using an alias because I don't want my policy of counting money after they leave to be known to strangers. I trust the guys and so far haven't had a problem, but I'm aware there may be an occasional bad apple out there. Another factor is that generally the guys leave with a smile on their face and tell me they want to come back....so it would be foolish not to pay and wind up being blacklisted from me and all my provider friends.

For new guys, I prefer no envelope--it lets the money be very obvious without eiher of us having to say a single word. Later on, if it's more convenient for the man to carry the donation in an envelope, that's fine.

Starina - book only with me and you will have no problem in the donation department!! Yeah Baby!! (lol)  Seriously, I have no good suggestions to your dilemna.  I always thought counting money or checking the donation could increase risk of arrest if LE is running sting, in addition to being perceived as somewhat tacky behavior.  I personally don't mind if a provider I am seeing for the first time discretely checks the donation on my arrival.  I usually ask to use bathroom shortly after arrival to allow provider time to check donation with me out of room so that neither she nor I will feel uncomfortable.  Maybe you could suggest to new clients that they go to the bathroom to "Freshen up" a bit after arrival.  Most guys would take the hint and use the time to check for B.O. or bad breath at the very least while you have time to check the donation!  

One thing is for certain, if a guy deliberately shorts a donation to you he will be shorting donations to other providers as well - particularly if he starts getting away with it.  Maybe you ladies should share the names of those of us who have shorted you.  You can still make your own decisions about whether or not to schedule with the guy and you don't necessarily have to "blackball" the cheapskate.  But forewarned is forarmed at least, IMHO.

In my experience, and that of the girls I work with, it is usually the return clients that do the shorting. It is very rare, but when it does happen it is usually someone you have seen before.

The most frequent occurance of shorting happens when you offer a special rate that is only valid for a limited time. A client will see you at that rate, and then months down the road, he will come see you again and give you the same gift, even though the special is long and done with.

I have had stuff like that happen before too.
And I am a very trusting person. We have have to be very careful and it just goes to show.
The first guy that you mentioned sounds like a guy I saw months back. I thought I could trust him to pay me afterwards  as he seemed way cool and when the session was over he had owed $1050 for 3 hours and he was like, what do I owe you counting his money. I said $1050 and he was like what??????? I go yeah, for 3 hours and he was all no way! I dont have that kind of money and most girls charge $250 and hour. ($350. is my rate)  Saying he would pay me next time. He refused to go to the bank, ect. ect. He seemed like a nice guy but he was fake and that is when I was not tough enough on reference checks so I learned my lesson. I was pissed as he only had $500 and he had me there 3 hours. But wanted me there for 4. He had to have known well enough that he didnt have enough. Ass wipe!
  Well, this guy coudl be the same guy from what is kind of sounds like. But the borrom line is that we have to be careful and people make mistakes but this world is nice a very nice one and there are not as many HONEST mistakes as we would like them to be honest.

I wouldn't mind if the donation were counted in front of me. Particularly since you've been ripped off in the past, this should actually make us more comfortable all-around. As for the clients who did rip you off, I hope you cut them off after that. People can be such jerks sometimes...

I get shorted at least a couple times a month. I tried recently to add something on a post about putting the envelope on the table prior to the begining of the session. I got blasted by a guy that said I was rude. I had just added it to the end of a regular post because twice that week I had been shorted and was trying to stop that. I don't know what to tell you because in my experience I have had quite a few guys get upset when I ask for the money when they arrive. I am thinking about adding a comment about it in my e-mail when I am confirming an appointment. It is nice to have that over with at the begining so you don't have to think or speak about it again.

The hobbyists and providers need to have a give-and-take - a sort of etiquette.  If providers are honest about their fees and services, hobbyists give the same consideration.  I always try to give a new provider the opportunity to count if she wants without making her feel self-conscious.  For example, if it is a first-time incall, I will leave the envelope inconspicuously on the table and ask to use the restroom or go on a balcony or something.  Everything goes more smoothly that way.
