The reason for the request is to help "verify" you.  No system is perfect, but it gives us an avenue of research to prove that you are a nice customer and not a serial killer:)

Hello all, I will be visiting the wonderful city of Phoenix in the near future.  I made an inquiry to desertdivas about a possible appointment.  The response was that I provide my TER userid.  I'm just curious as to if this is customary procedure, and if so the reasoning for doing so?
