...;or, to continue along these same lines, if the providers behavior or appearance changes drastically, i.e. an abrupt weight loss or weight gain, glazed expression, new marks or scars on the face, body, etc.
I'm not sure what the rules are, or how they are applied, but more importantly I'm not sure what the community would think, so I'm going to ask and see what responses I get.
I've had two appointments with the same Provider. In the first appointment, I wrote her an excellent review. The second one was nearly as good as the first, and I could easily write her another glowing review.
My question is: Is there any point in writing a second review, or would all of you consider it redundant or, perhaps, shilling? Would TER post it only as a revision? Is there any advantage to anyone (especially the Provider) in my writing it?
If there is no point in writing the second review, is there anything anyone can think of that I might do to help her out with TER so that she attracts a few more clients? She's fairly new and I would like to see her become very succesful in this business, particularly so that she'll stay around a while and I'll have more opportunities to employ her services.
Any thoughts anyone has would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Fred
the only time i would write a second is if the session markedly differed from the first in some way.
For example full service instead of a massage or some such thing

is appropriate. But I dont see any problem commenting about a 2nd great session here on the BBS. Who cares what the "shill police" say. If you had a good time others might want to know that the provider isnt just good....but consistant
That's also an excellent thought. I really appreciate all the help and advice I get from the members of this community. I'll just post a message here, and hope I don't annoy too many people by saying, once again, that she was excellent.
Thanks to all of you for the helpful advice.
Fred
Great concept, "shill police"! You do come up with some good one-every now and then...
Something new to add that happened this session? Then by all means ammend the existing one.
My personal opinion, if you don't have anything new to add about a second visit, though, why bother? Your review is pretty damn good as it sits-I doubt it could be improved much, unless there's brand new information to share about your second session that could possibly enhance your review, and create interest.
Otherwise, you've done your part-You added your great review to other great reviews, you plan to see her again, if you have friends who hobby, share your find with them-that's about all any hobbyist can do to help his favorite provider become successful.
Review. Refer. Repeat visits. The 3 R's of hobbying.
The 4th "R" being Respect, of course. ![]()
Have care though: too much effusive gushing could work against, possibly driving business away.
Too much is....well, too much.
Oh, and bear this in mind-helping her become successful can sometimes be a double-edged sword. The more successful she gets, the busier she gets, the less time she has to see you. We've all turned folks on to our personal favorite gem, only to find her time booked up. Or she gets TOO busy, burns out or moves on.
Finding a great provider is a wonderful gift, and not to be taken lightly. Savor every moment, cause when it's special, it's really something.
Glad you had such a good time, hope you have many more. Thank you for your review.
Don't write a second one.
Just my opinion though.
Good Luck
JJ
You make some excellent points, Jack, and I think you're probably right. I would like very much for her to be successful, but all I could say in a second review is that, once again, she was wonderful. People have already heard that, and you're probably right that if I kept it up it would simply be too much.
I agree, too, that it is a wonderful gift to have found a Provider with whom I have connected so well and who provides me so much pleasure. I am, I assure you, savoring every moment of it, and I never take it lightly.
Unless someone makes a very powerful argument to the contrary, I think you're right. I won't be writing a second review. There's really nothing to add, beyond that she is just as good a second time as the first, and I think those of you who read the first review would know my views anyway.
Thanks for your thoughts. They're greatly appreciated.
Fred
Quoting JustJack "Helping her become successful can sometimes be a double-edge sword."
Very true, my old friend, very true.
If one is selfish, or not good at sharing, one should not review. Otherwise, beware of the double-edge sword.
Well said, JJ.

I expect you're right, and I may regret, for purely selfish reasons, making so much noise about what a great provider she is, but as I'm not nearly wealthy enough to see her as often as I might like, it probably won't matter that much. Additonally, I'll hope that if she hears I want to see her, she'll make time for me promptly. She did that for me the other night, and it was only my second appointment.
So, I'll take the risk, and hope I don't end up cutting myself with that double-edged sword when I put on here a brief post telling everyone what a great job she did. And if the shill police have a problem, I suppose they can whine at me.
I like that term, by the way. We have some really creative people on this board.
Fred
Makes me wonder if Jeffrey isn't sharing!! LOL Come on, share buddy!
It is certainly true, but I still share, irrespective of the possible detriment to me personally.
As you well know.
Sharing is the essence of good hobbying to me-cause if you think about it, we all fish off the same metaphoric pier-why not share with your fellow anglers where the catch is best.
The benefits of sharing have far outweighed the costs, far as I am concerned.
I'm just mindful of the sword, not fearful or hesitant because of it.
You'll be the first one I call when I strike gold again, my friend. Promise.
JJ
The TER policy is usually enforced. It says, "You may also submit an update on a provider that you have already reviewed. We will replace your old review, but you won’t be credited for an additional 15 days. Your new review must be a complete rewrite that adds something new to the experience in order for it to replace the old one."
Most of the time I don't have the desire to write a second review, as you said I would just reinforce what I said previously. However, I think there are times when the second (or 3rd or 4th or) visit was better or worse that it might be warranted.
I recently saw Michelle from AZM, and while I have seen her several times before, always enjoyed being with her, she knocked my socks off this last time (maybe it was the moment, but really loved where her head was at along with everything else!) - I thought this deserved another review (hence the shameless shilling) but TER wouldn't allow!
(good thread!)
Unfortunately for the provider, a second review by the same hobbyest is only posted by TER if it is substantially different from the first. Then the first review is deleted. That is from the horses mouth as I had asked this questions when my second review was not posted. The benefit is to us hobbyests and publicity for the provider, keeping her name in the public eyes so to speak. This is important, especially for indies as new business is generated through the reviews.
