I don't think it is a "threat" in peoples minds.  There are a variety of reasons folks do not want to visit agencies or indies. To each his own.

It is almost the same as owning your own business (indie) or working for someone else (agency).

I own/owned my own businesses for years & if I wanted to go for an two hour lunch, go boating or what ever else I wanted to do I do not have to worry about what "the boss" (agency) would say as I am "the boss"(indie) !!

I only have used an agency a few times I sure remember that phone ringing just before your hour or two was up as maybe you where still up (agency) !! No phone ringing even if you are 20 mins. past an hour or two (indie)!!

With Lisa's fan club I do not understand why she went to an agency so quickly. Lisa now gives  the normal 40% of every dollar to the agency where Lisa should of hit/milked her fan club members & kept 100% for her "indie" self !!

The "have to have the new girl" is going be  gone in a month or two anyways & that is when Lisa should of made her move to an agency.

Remember "Always book direct unless you HAVE to use an agency" & in Lisa's case I feel that she should of kept booking direct as there was no need for the agency yet !!

Lisa is not the only provider here in the Valley!!!

It seems like a few years ago, most of the agencies (e.g., azoutcall, azcollegegirls) were rip-offs.  Some legitimate ones tried to get off the grounds (e.g., devildames), and exactly one DID get off the ground (e.g., TLC).  In any case, it seemed as though at least half of the indies were formerly agency ladies.

Today, there are about a half dozen agencies that now offer a legitimate services, and now I find it ironic that there is such a furur with the recent trend of long-time indies are going agency (British Brooke and Lisa, just in the last month).  Meanwhile, it seems that the ladies who have left the agencies over the last 6 months (with the exception of Robyn) have left the industry altogether - not to go indie.

Are the agencies doing something right that they were not before?  From the discussions I have had, the net take-home may be reduced, but so are the marketing and overhead costs (i.e., having an incall).  In addition, they have the benefit of economies of scale, additional business derived from the ability of the agency to sbustitute on a moment's notice, and flexibile hours.  There also seems to be a branding advantage that is starting to develop.  (Why take your chance on a new indie when you can trust the brand name?)  Most importantly, all the ladies I have seen seem RELATIVELY quite happy with the arrangement and plan to stay as long as they are in the business.

believes there will be an additional fee due to Lisa now being affailiated with an agency..and I would certainly think that there would be verses her old Indy rate.  If there isn't any additional charge verse her old Indy rate...then I would probably wait for the new pictures to be up and then decide.

well for one thing your paying a middleman to setup the session. i dont need a middleman so i have no need for agency.
There are way to many independents in town for me to need to turn to an agency to get a date for an hr or so....
