Yeah the Security Issue is a Good Point, But along 44th street Between Van Buren and Thomas there are a few Nice Hotels That Arent having Big Security Issues, However Scottsdale would Be a Most Excellent Choice, I do agree there...

Hi guys, My visit for April is still looking good! I am deciding on the dates. Right now I am considering April 5-10 and 20-25th. Since this will be my very 1st visit to Phoenix, I'm not sure where would be the best location for my incall  -   downtown? or the airport area?

Between those 2 choices, Go with the airport area, It is Much more Convieient.

The "airport" area is quite large.  Some places that are in the "airport" area are very close to the street action along Van Buren.  Definitely NOT a good idea!  But downtown is equally unattractive for the same reason.  Plus, downtown PHoenix is pretty much deadsville and all the hotels there are big high rises, for what that's worth.  (Van Buren runs thru downtown as well but not much street action there--it's just that to get In or OUT of downtown you have to drive thru a bunch of low life neighborhoods.)

Scottsdale is the coolest place on earth (except in the summer).  Lots of neato resort areas and normal hotel/motels as well. Tempe is the college town. Very hip and safe town.  Some locations in both Tempe and Scottsdale are relatively close to the airport--and are away from the Van Buren area mentioned above.

Hope that helps.

Stay away from the Airport area. With all the security it is a bitch to get in and out of.
