Who said people think an agency is the only recordkeeper? The point is LE is much more likely to bother with them and therefore end up with their hands on them.
is how you pay for services. If you use a credit card for the transaction (indie or agency) you might face some significant questioning as they trace the money trail. General records dont have much value specific value to a DA or police even if specific info was there (highly unlikely).
I'm worried about this too... who want's their name or other info showing up even if they can't 'get you'... "getting you" for many is simply the police blabbing your name, regardless of any charges or anything. If they call they house, they "got you".
With "Indies" I see miniscule chance of this, as the mechanism for catching folks is the agency... lot's of traffic at the incall with many different ladies (neighbor complaints)... indies live there, so presumably 'care' what the neighbors think, or at least use some discretion. In any case, there is no doubt LE would come after the agencies, they're simply not going to futz with indies IMHO.
there is no correlation between being an agency or indie and record keeping...period. Truthfully your risk is minimal either way...the DA will follow the cash...how you pay is what counts. If your caught you have the right to get dressed...do so immediately and say NOTHING. Unless your caught in a sting you'll almost never be arrested (unless its Joe)...but indies keep records too. Many also use "assistants"...who may very well keep records.
The truth is this is a paraniod thought process. Worry about getting stung...not about your favorite gal (agency or indie) getting busted...
Why is it that people think that a agency is the only record keeper out there Indies as well as agency all keep some kind of memos to remind them of who they saw, it all depends on what you put in your record keeping.I have never taken a credit card or check that is the biggest record out there for the rico act.As for the agency in Question there were no records taken, only one gril was charged cause she had a warrent and they took 3300 in cash not 1300 as they reported. He was also advertising in the R&G and the Beat, that is a red Flag for LE.

for well over 5 years. For years it was known as "TOP" (The Other Place). One other "major" agency was busted back in 1997 or 98...thats all I can recall. If you look at "Joe's sweeps" he hasnt hit an agency yet (sure it'll happen sometime). Vice targets "streetwalking" 1st...then massage parlors stripclubs and "publically advertised" (beat, backpage etc) entities. So far the only puplicized "intenet roundup" has been in Seattle. LE is a real (but statistically miniscule) potential problem. "Agency vs Indie" doesnt really apply here....
half a dozen of the other. It depends on lots of things. An agency could be better or worse than a specific agency. A lot of independents have their life on their phone. If LE wanted to they could get everyone's phone records, cc bills etc. Be safe not paranoid.
