I know this is a very touchy subject but after what has been happening in New York, major busts of providers, I think it is a subject worth discussing.

What can the LE do and not do? I am at the moment interested in this question from the hobbyists point of view not the providers.

For instance if I meet an independent that I know is a honest provider can they come in and bust the door down and arrest me without the assistance of the provider?

How about if I use an agency. In New York they raided an several large agencies, arrested all the employees and also busted the people at the agencies incall locations. Hobbyist and provider alike.

Anyway what can they legally do or not do. I guess since I use indy’s most of the time I am more concerned in hearing what they can do from that perspective. But for those who use agencies I would think it would be good to hear that as well. Thanks

If you want to e mail me you can do so at [email protected] if you do not want to talk about this on a public board. Thanks again

The answer is really pretty simple. They can and will do whatever THEY feel is appropriate at the time. There is NOT a single thing you can do to completely eliminate the risk. As mentioned above, stick with reputable providers and be aware of your surroundings. There is another thread here that has a book outlining your rights. Just be aware that "standing up" for yourself can cause a backlash as well. In the unlikely event you get "caught"....dont say a thing, make an excuse or acknowledge anything....period. There not your friend or on your side. If they let you walk great, otherwise as sherriff joe showed he'll book you and drag you thru the mud and let the system let you go.

It's simply a risk you take if decide to pay and play.....
