It's because of the reviews. Many are fake. Also guys don't communicate publicly about escorts and massage parlors from which you leave with a bigger smile.

If a guy asked me about this type of service I'd be happy to give him a few pointers, but most don't know where to start and when they show up they have no clue.

Hey, a great massage is always nice.

I have quite a kunundrum going on with potential clients. They say they've seen my reviews on TER, and read my website but they still think I am an escort, or offer escort services. I thought I made it clear on my site that I am not an escort and that I do massage, granted sensual tantric style massage, but massage none the less. My question is how can I convey this difference in style/services with out going into great detail of what my sessions consist of ? I have always tried to have full discolsure in my advertisements of what my services are, and yet I still get the client that comes to see me and is shocked that he is asked to lay face down and relax for his massage, or on the phone he keeps asking but it's like seeing an escort right? Is it me, or is it them? What can I say to convey to them that they aren't going to be getting an escort experience with me? Your thoughts and advice are appreciated while I sit here and scratch my head wondering ????

Malissa,
Having seen you on several occassions, as well as being an active hobbiest, I believe you are very clear on what to expect if someone chooses to book an appointment with you. An appointment with you is considerably "different", although no less enjoyable, than an appointment with an escort. An appointment with you is a very enlightening experience that is very enjoyable, just as an appointment with an escort may be equally as great. Perhaps a few more questions when booking the appointment? I'm not sure what to suggest, as I feel you have always been very clear as what to expect.
But I wouldn't stress over it.

aren't going to be getting an escort experience with me

That was a direct qoute from your first post. Tell tyhem that or put it in your ad.

Malissa,  I have a massage therapist who I see once a week.  She is strictly therapeutic and does NOT offer "happy endings" and only advertises as therapeutic.  Yet, she tells me that all the time, men ask her for more.  I think some men feel that if they are going to be nude then "anything" can happen.  It seems that no matter what you say in advertising, there are always going to be some who think they can get more or who just assume otherwise.  Like the old saying goes, "one always wants what they can't have."  Just like some men who call services and want only "the phone girl."  If it is out of reach, they only want it more.  You are doing everything right so don't change a thing!  BTW  on lighter note, when I told a client of mine that I was getting a professional massage, he asked me if my therapist gives me a "happy ending"  LMAO.  So I answered by saying, yeah, I'm relaxed and ready for a good night's sleep so that's a pretty happy ending!  Peace and Love

Simply place in your ad.. "I am NOT an Escort, please don't expect this type of service" ...DW

thanks to all that have added their thoughts with this topic and those who have been kind enough to call and offer advice. I guess it is just part of the business and I need to be a little more dominant when it comes to answering questions via email or phone calls.
Thanks again, and your comments have really helped me take a new perspective on this.

Lets be honest. Your reviews make it clear you offer more than a theroputic massage. If your reviews are not an honest representation of the services you offer, why do you link to them from your website? Many clients prefer to skip the rubdown and go straight to the ending. What is wrong with that?

I never said I only offered theraputic massage exclusively. But I offer massage first and formost in a Tantric style. There is a method to my madness lol. If a client wants to skip the massage (I don't do rubdowns)and go straight to the ending, then why see me since in my opinion the massage is the begining, middle and ending all woven together into a nice sensual relaxation package. My reviews are an accurate depiction of my sessions, but they are only a small glimpse into what I actually do with my clients. My Tantra training (I am a certified Tantrika and a state licensed massage therapist)makes my sessions very different than any regular massage parlor experience.
You said, "lets be honest", I am always honest and that's why I link the reviews to my website, but if you read my reviews they all say I do a great massage. If someone doesn't want a massage and just wants the ending, then why not see someone who doesn't provide massage such as an escort? There isn't anything wrong with that, but that's just not how I personally work. I enjoy doing the massage, and teaching my clients something new about relaxation and their sexuality. It is about the whole experience and not just the ending with me.

I very much do understand what you are sying, but you njeed to realize that you not the one shelling out the $$$$.

There is a reason you are caller a 'provider'. You provide a service. You charge for that service by the hour. It should be up to the client (customer) how the hour is spent. If for some reason he wants a fat provider, his choices are limited. Your reviews make it clear that you provide many happy endings.

I personally prefer the massage first. That is my choice. With my ATF occasionally I have skipped the rub and gone straight to dessert. I do not think she took offense. It is my session, not the providers.

but you seem to have missed the point. Yes, you can get some of the same services with a massage therapist as an escort offers and you can also get a massage from some escorts but there is a difference between the two.

No matter what Malissa puts on her site to convey that she is a massage therapist (and a damned good one at that) there will always be those who just don't get it. Don't worry about it Malissa. Just keep doing what you do best :o)
