Very nice Terri.  I remember the 57 Chevy, my Dad had one.  But then at that time I was only 10 and wondering what the bulge in my pants was.

Don't remember it well, I was in the 3rd or 4th grade.  Eisenhaur was president, television was black and white (if you had one), the country wasn't in a war and the communist threat was real.  I can remember civil defense drills at school, getting under your desk or kneeling in the hall with your head on the floor.

First car was a '57 Chevy, green, 283, 3 speed on the column, wonderful car until the accident, got my first BBBJ in the front seat.  Gasoline (all gas was leaded) was 18.9 cents a gallons for regular, and oil companies had price wars and you could sometimes get it for 12.9 cents.  Less than $5.00 would fill it up.  I worked at MacDonalds for 75 cents an hour, hamburgers and french fries were 15 cents each, coke a dime and a shake was a quarter.  A girl I was seeing liked Peach Brandy so one night I got a half pint, she drank a little to much and deposited her MacDonald's meal and brandy all over the front seat and floorboard.  What a mess.  Worth it though for all the BBBJ's.

Yeah, I remember, guess that makes me an Old Foggy.
