Hi, all. What's the prevailing opinion on verification services? If helpful, is a particular one much more useful to have than the others in this area? To my knowledge, there are three: RoomService2000 (rs2k), preferred411 and date-check. From research on their sites plus what I've read on the general discussion board, rs2k is the only one without recurring fees so costs the least. But, obviously the more important issue is which one's most widely used here by the providers? I also get the sense that which one is most prevalent varies by geography. Don't want to throw my money and info in the wrong direction, or at all if these services aren't helpful. Thanks.
I'm a RS2K member and I love it. Scheduling is so much easier with RS2K. Of course, I live in Chicago and this service is widely used here.
As Tina mentioned, if your hobbying is mostly done in Phoenix, you may want to hold off from joining. The good thing is that more ladies are using RS2K and you may want to join in the future.
More and more people from everywhere lately are using RS2K. I have seen some using date-check too. I have been posting in other places than here lately and find many nice guys not having references or not wanting to upset a provider they have seen for a long time by using them as a reference. I take all of the services myself but I don't know which providers use which one most. It is nice to deal with them rather than chasing down providers anyway because of the way that some providers don't handle giving references very well and don't like playing fair. I have been suggesting RS2K to the guys without references because I have always had great responsiveness, courtesy and discretion from their staff. Hope this helps.
I like how preferred411.com is setup, personally. It's setup to work more as a resource/helpsite for hobbyist/providers than just verifying a provider or hobbyist. It's run by a former provider who is real easy to reach or communicate with when needed. I like how there are review links on each provider page/bio that take me to whereever the review is posted, ter, TBD, etc. It's been a while since I checked, but it seems like there are more AZ providers on preferred411. I'm sure you can't go wrong with rs2k or preferred411. Date-check looks more like a popup porn site, but I'm sure that works as well.
