Here's an old thread on the subject. The LV board is one of the few regional boards that has a fair amount of activity. Take a look at San Diego, the OC, New Mexico or even L A. All are very slow and consist mostly of escort ads. There was a thread on the GD board awhile ago about how slow the regional boards are. The consensus was the recession has taken it's toll on the hobby. As far as the Phx board I think it's the recession, the real estate bubble which has been especially brutal here and still a hangover from the dd situation. With 30 million visitors a year, Vegas will always have an active board.Just my $.02

I think it's because in AZ we have members who flame new posts because they "don't post enough" or providers that get irritated if you disagree with what they have to say or if you ask the wrong question. Don't get me wrong, I get just as irritated at those who say "any info on___" without doing a common search but the level some take this too is often unnecessary. I think it does prohibit new people from posting and sharing their experiences or getting involved.
Just my 2 cents but I'm not a regular poster so what do I know lol although I have been in the hobby for 10+ years.

There's sum awful fine ladies in these here parts. Most'll treat ya better than yadeserve. If'n yer real polite, ya take a bath and, well... act like a gentleman. Heh. (spit)

This is just one person's opinion, but I've never had any problem seeing a provider in LA or San Diego, yet after coming to Phoenix, I've had two different providers curtly tell me that they "don't have the time" when trying to set up an appointment.

Next time I see someone complain that the economy has cut back on hobbying, I'll just snicker.

In the summertime

a lot of ladies are touring and vacationing.
I cannot speak for all, but I know when I tour, my focus is on where I am at and
posting "locally" takes a lot of time and energy, because most of the time there is more than 1 site/board to keep up with, plus all the replies and calls regarding the ad.

Summer brings vacationing visitors ("company") as well, and kids are out of school, so sometimes going online is not easy, unless it is to some vanilla site. That pertains to both you guys and the ladies. You know how that is... logging on and accessing a site and constantly being paranoid about who might walk up and see it. You can't enjoy yourself in that sort of situation.

It is so sad that the activity has definitely "dwindled" here a lot in comparison to the "good ol' days". It used to be like one big, fun party to come here every day just to read and smile. Now things are different for sure. Many of the the ladies and gentlemen who used to post here are either retired, moved away, afraid to say too much thanks to things that have happened that were used against them or someone else they knew in a bad way, or, as I said, the ladies may be touring. There are a few left though and thank God for that!

I have no idea how to liven it up. I tried a few times and psoted a few things I thought were cute or funny or interesting, that others might enjoy, but there were NO replies to them so I quit. Too many times there is no focus (and few reads) on what someone puts up. In other words, if I post something and another lady were to post the exact same thing, inevitably one wold have a ton more reads and comments than the other.

Maybe some fun contests or some sort of "points" system for every fun post? Of course then there would probably be bickering over who deems what a fun post is or who says it is or is not applicable so it could turn into a big mess, lol.

Anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?
