Wishful thinking. With the environment we're currently dealing with, that could be very difficult.  Well reviewed providers are going to ask for references, if you don't have any, you'll be asked for personal/business info. Only you can decide what type of info you want to give up.

 I can't believe all the stuff I am reading on this forum about arrests, crackdowns, etc. I find it crazy that all these hobbyists are giving out their personal info even after all the times the lists of men have been publicized after a bust. And references?! wow. this is new to me.  
   
 In Canada, your completely safe unless she is underage or pimped. So now I don't know what to do.  
   
 I'm coming for a conference next week and wanted to have some fun and spend an hour with a beautiful woman. Is this even worth the risk?  
   
 What can I do to protect myself? incall? outcall? I was planning on seeing someone that is well reviewed but didn't ask me for a "screening". Thoughts?

I've seen forms that ask for references, employment, etc. You guys feel comfortable giving that out when all you know is her stage name? What kind of info do you guys actually give out?

This is just me.  The very first time I asked to walk into a stranger's home and have an intimate encounter with her, I accepted the fact that she's going to want to make sure I'm not LE or a freak.  
She must have liked me because afterwards, she took this rookie under her wing and help me safely navigate the noobie minefield:  
D-C and P411 verification as well as making sure references are available. Stay with quality, well reviewed professionals  If you don't have P411 or DC verification membership, either accept the fact that you'll have to go through the verification process over and over or find females who won't want to verify (backpage).  In AZ, that is.    

I believe you are correct that JK is newbie friendly and though I have never seen her I understand she is a ton of fun.  However, I am quite certain that the Op will still have to jump through the usual verification hoops and provide the typical information that he seems reluctant to share.

I don't care if a provider is newbie friendly or not, just expect to be screen by the smart ones.  

You may be right, when I traveled around the country for work. I had many highly rated ladies agree to meet me for dinner an/or drinks in my hotel so we could check each other out. This was years ago when I had no TER presence. If he's staying somewhere nice he may have more luck than Best Western or Courtyard by Marriott.

But as I've said before- I give my real name and place of employment when a provider will do the same.  P411 is one thing, but giving your real name and place of employment especially in Phoenix at the moment is pure insanity.   I'm lucky enough to be established and have plenty of provider references, honestly if I were a newbie in Phoenix right now I may not even partake if I had a lot to lose such as family or great career that could be ruined by an arrest.    These aren't the good old days I'm afraid. ..

Some have roomates(incall) or drivers(outcall), some only take on regulars, and some just take the risk based on the feel they get from texting.

 I don't have that mentality. I have just never heard of references and screening before.  
   
 Over here in the "great white north", hobbying is legal, plentiful, and relatively cheaper compared to your rates. Of course we have the $50 ladies and the $1000 ladies as well. But the most common ones are about $120hh/$200h for a really good, well reviewed escort. Also, its a lot easier to choose and not be disappointed because the menus are online.
