Checking the court dockets today and it appears that the cases against the Goddess Temple folks are being fully dismissed; even for the top players.
Anyone have any insight into this?
Improper warrants? Lack of probable cause? Illegal arrests?

It has also been my understanding that there was little paradigm or vocabulary for a "Temple" so when the mists parted or the New Times article appeared the idea of spirituality being one and the same as sexuality was so unheard of that the only language was "good/bad" this or that. And guess which they chose? That's when the investigation began.
I was in a group for the Temple on facebook and the idea is that this is the tantra communities religion. This has caused a huge riff in that community at large. I will be speaking about this on Laurie Handlers (international Tantrica) radio podcast this week. The idea is that we as sexual practitioners need to have a place in this world. In ancient Greece there were brothers and temples next to each other for those who wanted one thing or another. I appreciate all aspects of sexuality as a practicing Priestess of the Erotic Arts (see my blogs for more information) and a Domina. I love the polarities of the sacred masculine energy and the sacred feminine energy.
Herodotus wrote (although much after the events) about the ancient Priestess Temples dedicated to the Goddess. He said women, before marriage, would spend time at the temple dedicated to the erotic arts and offer themselves to the "seekers" who came desiring a connection to the Goddess incarnate. This seems like a great idea for women to learn how to be with men. Where would she get educated? She would discuss techniques with sisters in temple and share ideas about the encounters. This would enhance her ability to be fully open as the divine feminine. David Dedia lectures and writes extensively about this practice and has brought it into our culture as "sexual yoga".
I want a man who can open me, take me to the ecstatic moments I have only dreamed of... Where do men get that concept? If my man sought the sexual education from a Priestess, or a divine practitioner, I'd be delighted. I see my position as being a sexual surrogate, a practice partner, for the ability to open to the more divine moments. I leave my ego at the door, offer a clean mirror for him to see his truest self, and then offer the ultimate most saturated highest ideal of the feminine energy. This creates the magnetic pull of the opposites, the deep and extreme masculine to be attracted to the deep and extreme feminine energy. This is also discussed in the American Geisha, where the authoress discusses how to become the epitome of feminine energy, which is extremely attractive.
This energy shifts and adjusts itself all the time. My masculine will rise to the surface when I am in the presence of a beautiful sexy woman. I do not become "male-like" but simple acquiesce to the beauty of the feminine manifest. I can stay open and still be female, and allow my feminine energy to go more quiet while I enjoy her energy too. This energy can shift back and forth depending on who needs to be more penetrating, or assertive or observing... Who needs to be the full emotion and the embrace of the feminine. When we as a society can allow these energies to shift and adapt, it makes for greater harmony between people. Men are not less male because they share a feeling, and that is an aspect of the feminine energy. Men are not less male because they don't want to make every decision during sex, they are allowing the woman to manifest all of her, however, if the most attractive aspects are to express the extreme polarity, then a man embodies the full masculine energy, the penetrating force, the women will embrace and manifest her divine receptive feminine qualities and fully receive him in his glory.
Thank you for the prompt, WatchingTheDetectives! I enjoyed expounding on this topic.
Peace, Bhakti
let's hope it true for those gals and guys involved it about time we caught a break here
There are 2 separate sets of indictments against the Temple. The first set appear to have been dismissed but sadly not the second.
Check out court document CR2011-007595
Perhaps Dave of Phoenix can provide some more info here.
Thank you for the update Misty please keep us posted
Misty, where exactly do I look for this case number?
I was looking at CR2011-007493. All those cases were dismissed. It looks like there are some in 7493 who aren't indicted in 7495 so they're off the hook, hopefully.
Sorry to get anyone's hopes up and thanks Misty.
The case has not been dismissed, although her bond was reduced from $500,000 to $50,000. If she can make bail she will be released under certain conditions. She will need a Maricopa County address, which at this point she does not have. She will be under house arrest until her court date. She may not go back to the Temple. And, all the folks who were arrested are still not allowed to communicate with each other.
If anyone would like to donate to the legal fund, please go to www.tantratestimonials.com. You can also read testimonials written by the Tantra community given to Judge McMurdie on this site. He seemed more than willing to hear the case out.
I plan to be at every court hearing if possible. It would be great to see some more support at the court house. If you choose to support at court, please dress nicely. There were four of us for Tracy's hearing... Temple Court dates are Monday Oct 31st, Tuesday Nov 1st, Monday Nov 14th and Tuesday Nov 15th. Address is 201 Jefferson Street, East Court House, Rm 413
Also, if anyone is willing to offer her a spare bedroom with a Maricopa Co. address, please contact me!
I doubt she will be working so it would need to be gratis...
Thanks TER Community!
xoxo

I think if you would write a little bio on her and give us a way to get to know her personally kinda humanize her to the group it would help with the fund raising I will donate $100 to get the ball rolling you may call me and I will get it to you its a small start but if everyone steps up it can add up.....
Hi Vic,
Thank you for your willingness to help! I wish I knew Tracy better, but I've only met her a few times. From those few times, what I have come away with is that she is an Inspired woman and something larger than herself is working through her, which is why she felt the need to establish the Temple and be open about it. I understand her Mission, because at one time, after a week long Tantra intensive and for about 3 months thereafter, I felt this calling as well but did not "heed the calling".
Establishing a DIRECT CONNECTION to "source" "spirit" or "God"...what ever you want to call it, is the purpose of Tantra. This direct connection is something one can actually feel and experience.
Buddha said there are 48,000 paths to enlightenment. Who's to say this isn't the path for some? It was the quickest path for me.
Also, there's a book by Jenny Wade, Ph.D titled Transcendent Sex: When Lovemaking Lifts the Veil. Its a compilation of case studies about ordinary couples who have had a "spiritual experience" through sex. Great read if anyone is interested...
And from my own personal journey...I went to that Tantra workshop after being in the biz for a year. I felt there had to be something more to sex, but I was missing the point. Reggie Ray of the Naropa Institute says that Tantra isn't necessarily about sex, but if sex is what leads one to Tantra, then that is okay...If sex is what lead ME to Tantra, then it can lead others.
Tracy and the other Goddesses were not only doing one on one work at the Temple, they were offering classes on Non-monogamy and honest communication, Goddess Worship through the Ages, Ecstatic Breathwork, Yoga, Meditation, Chanting and a variety of other things. So, at the Temple, you could start from where you were at and what you were comfortable with. If something else appealed to you, you could explore that as well. People need to be met where they are. Twenty years ago, I didn't understand chanting and thought those who did that were out of their minds, but now my thinking is different. At the Temple, they were doing much "seed planting"...planting ideas that are not mainstream, especially here in AZ. Their method was not to shove new information down others throats, but to make the info available...
So, I'm supporting Tantra and the personal transformation that is possible by supporting Tracy and the other Goddesses in any way I can.
