I love to see the outdoors on my downtime and have really been taking advantage of this during the quarantine. I would love some recommendations from locals as there are so many places when I google. Please fill free to email me at [email protected] with responses as well! Thank you, everyone!

I recommend Piestewa trail 302. I think it is about 3.5 miles. It's much more quiet, compared to the summit trail, but, they have a part in common. The sun will hurt you, any time between 8am-4pm, unless you use sunscreen and maybe wear a hat. It's hard to find a shady trail in AZ. Piestewa is formerly known as Squaw Peak.

So. Mountain Park has a few trails from mild to challenging. The views are nice too.

Although Squaw Peak sounds intriguing. Certainly wouldn't mind peeking at a few good looking squaws either. Paris in particular would look rather fetching in her shorts and hiking boots I'd bet.  LOL

Just avoid the area above where the PHX Police train and Phoenix Rod and Gun Club. Some chuckleheads have been known to get "lost" and wander into the restricted areas where bullets are flying after they go out of bounds beyond the marked trails. Ruins our target practice when it does happen. We have to wait until they clear the area. Some have been so clueless after hearing sounds of gunfire they actually move in closer to look. Shooters unfortunately aren't allowed to direct them away  from the area with a couple well-aimed warning shots. :(

Yeah, I like  Holbert Trail at So. Mountain. Take the detour to Dobbins Lookout, near the top. Somewhat quiet trail with a huge, empty parking area. Google "Holbert Trailhead" for directions. If you're driving yourself, this is the one. Almost all the other trails can have parking issues.
