I thought the exact same thing - good to know it's not just me! I'd bet anything we're talking about the same gal - first name start w/ A?

I was browsing backpage and happened across an Ad for a gal with some reviews here and the above "affordable" rate. Now this is not a rate rant of any kind. Without a doubt $500 is not an uncommon price point for a few of the valley's finest (and

I've recommended more then one at that rate)...however I've never viewed $500 as "affordable"...even in the good old days before the current realities.

Whats funny is that this was actually a gal who was on my short list at her old price point who along with a few others recently bumped pricing (which I don't have a problem with beyond the normal supply/demand curve etc).

Whats funny is the moment I saw the combination of $500 and "affordable" I lost any interest of seeing the gal at any price. I'm not the red cross and I dont expect anyone else to be a non profit either. Saying I'm exceptional and worth every penny is somehow OK (as long as the performance lives up to the promise) while the former leaves me feeling that you dont think that $500 for an hour should come with a sense of expectation for something extraordinary?

Some are not in tune with the financial dilemma and the economic downturn!  Wish my business could sustain price points in a market like this!  With no disrespect intended, as I have paid such a price before, it's tougher to part with that discretionary cash these days.  I would tend only to do that with one that I have had a prior strong connection with.

yeah i feel the same way. $400 for the first hour i'm use to. but $500 seems a bit much, especially when you don't know if you're going to click with the lady.

was the linkage for lack of a better word. There are gals out there with a $500 rate that are worth every penny (Piper comes to mind) if your comfortable spending that type of cash, but thats a price point thats well above average and carries a performance to match. Calling a $500 session fee "affordable" begs the simple question...for who? I look at affordable as an every day (or week) event.

Current rates at Pebble Beach are $495, last time I played there 4 of us used a time share on a 35A out of Scottsdale. It was actually a smoking deal (dont know how the fractional shares work but something was going to expire so we got a bargain from company that owned the fraction). Basically was $1200 a person door to door for a VIP expreince and round of golf at Pebble...a great time sure..."affordable"...well not for me, but worth every penny...once...well maybe twice:)

I suspect for Bill Gates, such a price is affordable.  For the rest of us mere mortals, however, this is something for which we would need to save money in order to afford it.
The only time I ever spent that kind of money was in a 2-Provider situation about which I wrote a glowing review.  That was, alas, before the Dark Time came, and now, with the incresed LE presence and the economy on the verge of collapse, I fear it is singularly unlikely that I will have an experience at that price point again.
I agree that there are, undoubtedly, Providers who are worth that much money, and some who are worth more. I, sadly, will never be among the Fortunate Few who get to see them, let alone be able to consider such an experience to be "affordable."

I think you're on the mark there.  A $500 rate may be "affordable" for those guys who will fly in a unique lady for a $4,000 overnighter.  Sadly, I am not one of those guys.  After watching my portfolio drop 30% in recent months, $500/hr better be something extraordinary.

I struggle now with value.  I have seen Piper and agree that she is truly extraordinary, worth every penny.  So much so, however, that my recent $250-$300/hr sessions have left me unsatisfied.

Gentlemen,

Forgive a girl for interrupting, but I had to pipe in here.

I totally agree with the flavor of this thread. You are absolutely right on the money (pun intended)! What you are all arguing for is VALUE. Pebble Beach at $500; a fabulous value! A one hour, one-pop and go at $500; NO FREAKIN WAY!!

We girls in our price point strive, and work very hard to provide VALUE. That's how we KEEP clientele. We're not interested in a high turn-over business, we want regulars. Regulars DEMAND value, end of story.

The girls that I know and work with do our homework. We LISTEN to our clients BEFORE the appointment, ferret out what they like and aren't so hot about, through what they say and even more HOW THEY SAY IT or even what they DON'T SAY.  We KNOW what a man is REALLY asking for by how he writes and expresses himself. We then show up with the appropriate fashions (or even in the role of what we know he is REALLY asking for!! "I'm selling candy bars for my school's cheerleading team" ). It's about the homework boys! We arrive early to establish a decor in the room if it's an Incall appointment, and arrive punctually, well prepared with a bag of goodies for all possible outcomes when an outcall is requested.

The good news here is that you boys DO have access to a quantifiable resource. OUR REVIEWS. If ms $500/hr has only 1 or 2 reviews at 7 or 8, then I'd keep looking. Our Reviews show our value. AT ALL PRICE POINTS.

Only my 2 cents
