I had just begun posting  and was traveling  to LA on tour  so thought I would try and get to know that board so my girlfriend not in the biz  sent me this Joke  and I thought it was funny  so I posted it  and in one day  that board blew a fuse  over this joke it had the most reads and discussion I had ever seen over 1,000  i believe it went on for days.... I was very worried  most defended it others not so much...it went on and on.....I finally said  i am leaving LA before I am tarred and feathered  and run out of town LOL  now that  many yrs have passed I often wonder if that little joke would  have the same effect. Let me know if you think I should share it if you are computer  TER say you can do a back search on it  posted under victoriaofaz about 6yrs ago  It ws titled  The black Miss America Pagent will only have 49  contestants this yr.....

OK the reason there were only 49 contestants is no one wanted to wear the banner I DA HO...this hit a nerve  in LA  but it certainly got the boards moving !

I know it's a joke and I do have a great sense of humor.... But out of all the jokes that you've ever heard this is not one that I would post. Especially in LA. Seriously I don't know if you noticed but it's kind of racist. Because It's pushing the button on "black" grammar. I am not the stereotypical "black" person that tries to blame the white man for everything and etc. (sidenote) I actually prefer the white man lol. I just don't think that should've been you joke of choice.

That's funny. People who can't find that funny don't belong on these boards or in this hobby.

Bianca  your missing the point hon,  It was just showing that 5yrs ago I randomly chose this  joke and it went balistic in LA as I said it was the longest thread I had ever seen with so many different points of views ....I just wanted to see 5 yrs later if it could cause the same gut reaction .....personally I find it to be just an ok joke I have much better ones believe me  LOL

I completly understand that it's just a joke. And you wanted to seevwhat would happen 5 years from then. But why tell a joke that is possibly going to offend someone. I'm pretty sure that the feedback from that joke was not 100% laughs. I'm not saying I'm offended but what I'm saying is that out of all of the jokes in the world you choose one that is offensive to a certain group of people. Maybe I'm just not the kind of person that get's a laugh out of making fun or insulting someone. It's a funny joke but it's one of those jokes that you keep within your circle of friends not a joke that you post in the public eye just to see what kind of reaction you get.
