Well you are a damn sexy nerd. No SB 1070 won't affect the hobbie one way or the other. Seems to be a steady stream of posting on BP, CL. I doubt there are a lot of gardners and day labors emailing the ladies with ref.

Tomorrow the so-called law kicks in. It seems that many schools have already noticed a huge drop in student population as the illegal immigrants have started moving out - soon do not be surprised if many teachers lose their jobs. (This is just an example of the effect in one sector of the economy)

How will this law affect the ladies who might not want to visit, the guys who might not want to take a chance of getting caught and being questioned and what not?

What do you think folks?

there will be no effect on the hobby at this time.  TBH, while I've been with a few lovely latinas, I had no idea of their legal status.
I was there for a date, not to check their immigration status.

They cancelled as soon as SB1070 became public... I was less saddened by the police convention getting cancelled shortly after.. I'm sure its going to affect more on the ladies who already had a negative notion against AZ with the DD bust now have one more reason not to visit- the racial drama thats unfolding.  Ann Kirkpatrick said it best though,

“There are no winners here, No matter what the courts ultimately decide, we will still have wasted millions of dollars and our borders will still not be secure.”

Probably by the time my comment gets approved the topic will be already talked out though... sigh...

Every time the cabrones at Backpage take it upon themselves to run one of my ads en espanol I get a few phone calls that sound something like:
"Ah yes, ees Virheenia home please?  Yes, Virheenia?  How much are you?  Where you leeve?"

Que lastima no hablo espanol.  The calls never went anywhere but they always cracked me up.

Aye Dios mio, "how much you are Virheenia?"  is just funny.

I guess intelligence really turns me on. I was excited when I saw this post, even more excited to see the response. Unfortunately it seems like its a topic to steer clear of for most of you. I understand that it doesn't really match the ambiance of the website. This is somewhat of a passion of mine. I love to read the news (maybe a little too much). While some find it boring, depressing or repetitive I find it engrossing. I really love being informed and discussing the topics with a clever person (also a little too much lol). That being said, if any of you would like to chat about this topic, just out of the public eye here on the board email me. I could really use some stimulation : )

It may be because there is a Politics and Religion board for those discussions. I have opinions about it, but I am surprised the thread hasn't been pulled already. :)

The politics and religion board isn't regional and phx is where the it's occurring. OP kept it related to hobby even. I understand the lack of response.. Just a little sad : (

He started off the day at Starbucks, then went to Home Depot to check on new power tools, dropped by the Chev. garage to look at a new truck, Best Buy to get an extra battery for his Mac power book. He only spent 2 hours with your ATF. I know he told me so, right after he said he was raising my rate. Said he had to pre-plan for the Obama tax increase.
