I know a handful of guys who have been to the Viking resort. Very good but not cheap...Basically will run you about $1,000/day + airfare. Exotic retreat has a reputation as being legit but even more overpriced. My understanding is that all 3 of the resorts (viking,Angel & exotic retreat) rent villa space as needed based on demand.
Your not going to get ripped off and all in all its not a bad way to go if you've got no experience in international mongering. However if your really thinking about dipping a toe into the hobby internationally I'd suggest starting with Don from Americoa tours in Rio. I'm sure if you call Jack over at AZM he can put you in touch.
You'll spend less money for more fun, better food and if your so inclined you'll have a chance to meet and make friends with at least a few of the cast of international "mongers". These relationships can open up literally a world of possibilities.
I'd also suggest Buenos Aires and Lima as alternate destinations...but a week or two of "bootcamp with Don" would leave you much better prepared for further adventures abroad.
Did not partake of any local companionship but the Dominican Rep was great! Warm water, good food and drink and european style beaches. PM me if you would like details Would repeat LOL!

I had a friend of mine visit the Viking resort about 18 months ago. Said he had a great time, but probably wouldn't do it again. For the same cost he said he would have been better off taking his ATF on a vacation.
If you are set on a trip south of the border - try Costa Rica. I was there in 2005. Very easy to get to, lots of friendly ladies from all over Central and South America at great prices. And the fishing is great!
Have you considered Amsterdam? Great city to visit, prices are very reasonable and because it is one of the world's busiest seaports, they have quite a selection of lovely ladies from around the world working.
