Ah, the sounds programmers make when a deadline is approaching.  Four-letter words spliced together in interesting ways, lots of muttering, lots of "What the f....!"  Short tempers, unshaven faces, mismatched clothes and tired eyes.  Hunched shoulders, sore backs, mussed hair and vacant stares.  Mountain Dew and Jack-in-the-Box and pizza.  Early mornings, late nights, working weekends.

I got home on time tonight.  Yeah, my eyes are red and my shoulders are hunched and my back hurts a bit and I haven't shaved since Friday, but I got out to see the sun and walk in the park and talk to my kid and look forward to my next rendezvous.

Cherish your freedom, your independence and remember us poor working stiffs who toil nine to five (or later), five days a week (or more), hoping to find an hour or two to spend with one of you special women.

Damned if this don't strike a cord.....

I can understand the feelings.  Years of long hours,weekends, nights, responsibility, stress, and lost youth.  Personal  satisfaction,growth and a little wisdom gained as reward but such a price. Ladies thank you for sharing time,laughter and your delights. You lighten the heart and fill needs oft forgotten. A little respite to bring balance.
To all the ladies and gents enjoy life now,it is full of wonderful treasures.
Oh shit I really maybe a sentimental old fool.

I hear that!  After this weekend, I'll be needing some relief, but that normally includes hobbyists' interaction.

I understad completely and I am in this business!!  My phone starts ringing at 8am and doesn't stop until after midnight.  The good thing is that I can answer when I want and all my brainstorming sessions, interviews, meetings, etc. can be done at a bar if I choose!
