Good Evening, I am completely new to the hobby, but am looking forward to enjoying the holidays this season. I would like to be as well prepared as possible, and would like to know what type of screening process a first-timer will go through. I did some searching on the newbie faq, and was unsuccessfull. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

The reality that newbies (and even some vets) don't get is that smart providers MUST get one of two things:  a reference from a reputable provider (excuse my using that phrase) OR some verifiable information about your private and/or professional life.  If you have references, you get to enjoy more privacy.  The bottom line is that the ladies are entitled to know who they're meeting.

One other thing...did anybody mention that you should call Mya?  

it depends and it varies by agencies and provider.

at one extreme are the girls who screen by how you sound on the phone or the parlors.

at the other is the lady who wanted along with your bosses name and phone number your dl# so she could do a "background check" i still laugh everytime i think of that conversation.

me personally i dont give anyone i dont know anything i wouldnt be comfortable giving to a complete stranger. Now i grant you that may limit my hobbying selection but ive also never been the subject of one of the horror stories we guys pass around when we get together.

be careful and remember this hobby can come back to bite you in the ass. I have heard the stories too many times to think otherwise. As a newbie i would stick with the three safest points of contact, phoenix411 and the two private lists here in town; (both of the list admins have more issues than a neurotic teenage girl however so be warned there).
