Let me preface this by saying this is a serious question...

How do I tactfully make sure a provider is comfortable with my penis size? My last two encounters were less than stellar due to the providers being physically uncomfortable with my size. God bless both of them they certainly tried but they were obviously struggling. For me if the lady I'm seeing doesn't appear to be having a good time then the mood is wrecked and I cant wait to get out of there. It's very frustrating to spend several hundred dollars to walk away unsatisfied.

I have meet several providers who don't seem to have any issue with it and I see them regularly but obviously some variety is nice and they aren't always available.  

Basically how do I voice my concern without sounding like an arrogant jerk and avoid a bad appointment?

I can see why you posted under an alias - if not your mailbox would be full of pms from ladies claiming that they are a "size queen" and can handle anything!

Thanks for the responses. Its a girth problem really. I'm average in length but very thick. As to the alias, I was expecting the post to generate a fair amount of negative answers but I'm surprised that isn't the case.

....if girth is the problem my suggestion is good lube and patience. Maybe ask in advance in a not-so-explicit way if they've met a man very endowed in width/girth how would they handle it. You don't want to hurt anyone but you want a good time...i'd understand.
