On behalf of the good folks on the Boston board, I want to apologize for getting off to a rough start with some of you. My style of moderating (Boston, Carolinas, NYC and Philly) is to let the board communities police themselves as much as possible. I tend to let a lot go. In fact, I’m usually not happy unless I’m stirring the pot a bit myself. 
These boards tend to be very active for this reason.
In hindsight, as the Boston Moderator, perhaps I should have edited the offending thread a bit. However, had I done so, we probably wouldn’t have had as many visitors between our two regional boards in the last 24 hours. If this thread did nothing else, it got people on the Phoenix board posting about the Red Sox, Yankees and Patriots.

I was in Chicago last summer and it was just as hot as Boston. 
Seriously, the were other factors at play here that you don't always get to see. There had already been two posts this week announcing that provider's visit. Providers in Boston and NYC tend to keep a very close eye on each other to make sure that the posting guidelines are observed.
To advise providers not to go to Boston because the boards have a different atmosphere, I'm not sure that's the best advice you can give a lady.
