I have to ask why hobbyists and providers like to have a cocktail before they actually play? Alcohol desensitizes everything so you lose pretty much all the pleasure, it also makes it harder for blood to get to the important parts and maintain arousal and sometimes an orgasm.

I guess it works for those people who just want go through the motions, but to me sex with alcohol is like plunging a clogged toilet, what fun is that?

So why drink before, is it just a cliche habit that humans do?

When I was a younger, single and no girlfriend, I only had sex was when I was half pissed up. At that time there was no issue with performance. Alcohol loosened me up enough, and gave me the confidence or attitude to at least try to pick up chicks. I'm sure it made me less picky; come to think of it that must be why all my pick-ups were drunk too!

Now the only reason that I can think of would be to lower your inhibitions. A shot or two could remove any worries about physical shortcomings.  Too much pressure means limp-dick and a drink might remove that pressure. Remember your largest sex organ is your brain and if alcohol affects it in a positive manner.......

I don't drink alcohol before or during sex. I like to be alert and have all my faculties so I can enjoy the whole package. I may drink something after but not before.

There are two form of whiskey dick. The one where you drink and can't it up, and the one Bailey explains that kills the feeling. Neither one is much fun when your with a beautiful lady. All you do is wear each other out and not in a good way.

Ok now that's a first for me using Toilet and sex in the same sentence.

Having a drink makes you feel good, and men like to be around a woman who feel good. I like to feel good, too! It's that simple. That's why many male conquests start with "Can I buy you a drink?"

Where on earth would you get the idea that having a drink (or even several) makes you "lose all the pleasure"....????

Doesn’t affect performance or feelings of pleasure but helps to get know each other and relax before the fun starts.

Who gets drunk on one glass of wine?

I have more of a problem with getting very giggly than anything else. I have learned (the hard way) to avoid getting so buzzed that everything is funny as hell and I am jumping on the bed singing Bon Jovi LOL... if a mixed drink is especially strong, I will only drink half of it.

Nevermind that I will be driving home, too, with an outcall. That is another reason why you drink before, not after, so there is time for even that one drink to wear off before getting behind the wheel. I won't drive if I'm even a little buzzed.
