Just wondering how many of you get yourself checked for STD's on a regular basis.  And if you ever tested positive would you quit the profession?
Just a newbie wanting to play safely.

The best way to play safe is to wrap it up!!!  You should not be playing any other way NOR playing with anyone who does not play safe! I don't care if you are a hobbyist/provider or in your personal life...nothing is worth the risk!

By the way, I would quit the profession, as well as any "activities" in my personal life.  I would never wish to harm someone else.

I believe everyone actively involved should be tested for everything including HIV once every 3 months in this industry and once a month for everything else.
Then to I am a safety girl in a safety world and am happy to share some advie on being safe. Use wrappers for everything (that means everything boys) wash hands before and after with hand sterilizer, bleach and water, or alcohol,(peroxide changes your skin funny colors) Gargle with combo of peroxide and water or an alcohol based mouthwash.
Safety is my first concern honestly. I may be berated for saying this outloud, but safety is #1 even before a clients satisfaction or my own. I want to keep pleasing you all for years to come. No Pun on words. Honestly in my personal views providers maintain themselves way better in regards to safety than the run of the mill college girls, the naughty housewives, or the freak next door, any of which are out on a regular basis looking to get off and not doing it safe. This applies true in the same aspect to all true hobbiest in the same respects. Not the sleazy dirty one's looking to get some.
Well enough said I hope nobody slaughters me for saying so..

I'm checked and tested regularly. (Damn I hate needles and putting my feet in the stirrups!) It's just what any responsible person who is sexually active should be doing whether in or out of the business. It's good for everybody involved ;o)

If I was ever found to have and STD I would never want to endanger someone else so I wouldn't be sexually active with it.

Funny that you mention that, cause I didn't read that you even responded to his question to "providers AND hobbyists".  That's curious.

You're forgetting that TF is a lawyer and won't respond unless it gives him an opertunity to remind us of that or the show off his obvious lack of proper sentence structure. Which is quite amusing considering that lawyers have to be extremely careful about how things are worded. But then I don't have a degree in anything so what do I know?

Angel, one thing I really agree with you is the safty of providers over that of civilian girls.  I have been doing this for several years and really am afraid to play out side of the hobby.  I just don't trust a girl I would meet at a party of bar. Who knows what she has been doing with other guys and very likley with no protection. Believe it or not most of the guys I know that pick up girls for sex do not use protection.  Just to scary.

I get my AIMS test done on a regular basis. I link to their site from mine. If I did however test positive, absolutely would I quit the business.
