You may want to contact me privately about an admin on a local board (not in ANY way affiliated with TER) who will latch onto you like a parasitic drowning man. While he sings the praises of his basically dead board, he will try to manuever you into giving him a freebie for his reference for you on said dead board, as well as "mentoring" you (with the all too ubiquitous "I'm so good in bed the ladies have offered to pay me"!) Hey, he will even give you a stack (not one, mind you - a STACK!) of his business cards on departure. This guy's a keeper! A year ago I would have fallen for it, and I just want to warn other providers who are presently in the same learning curve I would have been in then. I've been to every major city in the US and have never before come across this flavor of nonsence. Stick with the guys from TER and save yourselves a lot of grief, and more importantly, a lot of lost revenue. -e

I personally have met Mike on a couple social events and he has never ever approached me in this manner!
Eva must be delusional. I had an appointment to see her and I canceled it with a days notice because of the flu. We did meet for coffee for 15 minutes as a social courtesy visit. There was never any indication or request for free bee's. This ad min pays for what he gets. While I was visiting her a member of my board called and I recommended he make an appointment. I haven't a clue what she is talking about. Yes I do hand out business cards....so what
I know I'm delusional and all, but Mike was the one who requested the "coffee social" visit for the day prior to his cancelled appointment and if one does the math and carries the one that doesn't make a whole lot of sense if you're down with the flu (and yes, I have electronic trails myself to substantiate this). And he was at my incall location for over an hour and a half before I literally had to escort him to the door. He did tell a fellow board member on the phone that he should see me, but I was standing right there - what else was he going to say? But then, this is interesting, after he hangs up he proceeds to outline reasons why I shouldn't see the gentlemen who is indeed a member on his board. I saw him anyway and had a delightful interlude in spite of Mike's "warnings" about him. I could go on and on but the bottom line here is that I'm not an idiot and it is perfectly clear to me that Mike incorrectly targeted the wrong provider this time. -e
I have to say too, I would hate not to be able to trust a provider when she gives a warning!!!!
That being said, I am truly sorry if something that happened to you here in Phoenix....It is a fact that there are those that try to use power and status to take advantage of us. I am so thankful that I have only had one which many of the girls have had the same run in with, I am totally against this kind a of tatic and will never be apart of it!

My singular motivation in doing so was to warn visiting inexperienced providers who I believe are his target. (I doubt he's stupid enough to try it in his own backyard.) i messaged him regarding the problem. he then advised me that i had pissed him off to the point that he had disabled my profile from being able to post and he was surprised that i wasnt aware of it until 3 months later but if i was willing to make amends he'd reactivate it.
i said if making amends means giving you free time, shove it. he messaged back but i havent taken the time to read it.
those are the facts. this is my opinion.

My issue with wanting to meet with Anna was her friend not mine was a drama queen and trouble maker (shit disturber) on the board. I wanted her advise on how to handle her friend. I wasn't going to post, but figured "Ah, everyone else is... why not be a lemming, too!" However, I'll try to do so as neutrally as possible.
Mike recently flamed me on his forum for a missed appointment. I flamed him by word-of-mouth for showing up at my incall a full hour before our confirmed time. (Which is usually grounds for denial of service... if ya can't respect my time 'off the clock', you're not gonna respect it 'on the clock'.)
Mike let me know that we could reschedule at a discounted rate and he would remove the disparaging remarks. I told him to leave the forum post 'as is' 'cuz I believe in free speech in all forms.
To his credit, he apparently removed the post (I never actually saw it) and apologized for acting out of frustration.
While his actions may not be above reproach, he's certainly not as bad as some of the truly parasitic board owners I have come into contact with. That's just my two cents.
Furthermore, I wanted to pop in about Ana. She runs my website. For FREE. And I don't just mean hosting it... I mean the entire development and execution. Again... for FREE. (After two separate 'clients' charged me in excess of $500 for sites that weren't half as good and never went 'live'.) We're sometimes wary of 'trade for services', fellahs... that's all there is to it.
Ana could potentially run a really good racket and procure 'freebies' for her and all her friends for all the work she puts into OUR administrative crap. (And keeping in mind, we're not even talking about her agency girls. I'm an indy!)
So, in the interest of calling a spade 'a spade'; there are individuals who sieze every opportunity to take advantage and there are individuals who don't. As long as I've been alive, that's how the world has worked; and not just our little microcosm.

I just found out today that Eva had two or three appointments cancel. Now I was a gentleman and actually canceled before she got on a plane to arrive in Phoenix. I can't speak for the others. I do not participate in boards very often but do observe regularly to keep apprised of pertinent information. Today is an example of why I don't participate, as I feel public mudslinging does nothing but get everyone's hands dirty and distract from what SHOULD be the focus of any board--community unity. In this business, offers of quid pro quo sex are the norm and a provider should learn how to handle this within the first two weeks of doing business. If this were the only "danger" ever faced, this job would be alot less stressful.
It seems there are some innaccuracies in this warning starting with reference to a "dead" board. This is hardly the case. The board is a fledgling and growing everyday. It is considered successful in the Phoenix market due to it's growth rate and it offers a refreshing change as it thankfully does not allow the same caliber of dialogue permitted on some other venues.
Secondly, there is a reference to a "parasitic drowning man" which is, in my opinion, quite off the mark when describing the man in question. I have known Mike since September of last year and in him I have found a true friend who has been consistent in both deed and character throughout the time I have known him. It is rare these days to find someone of integrity, who can walk his talk, but Mike has consistently demonstrated that he has the best interest of providers at the forefront. I have observed him to be a genorous, fairminded individual that, in terms of caring about the provider community, does not play favorites and also tells it like it is via some sound advice. I wish there were more males in the community like Mike Z...in him I have observed a true champion and am truly grateful to have met him!
Mike paid for my services. Never suggested anything otherwise. His board is far from dead and the members there are great. I know the man in question and he has never done that to me. I was given cards to pass out too, but nicely, and I was a member of his board already. I know there have been misunderstandings and some people do not see eye to eye, (no 2 people can agree on everything all of the time) but I can only speak for me when I say he has never tried that with me. I do not meet for any reason without compensation unless I am in the screeening some one who has no references (if I think he is okay, which is rare...) mode, and there is even a fee for that. I would never agree to meet just for a meal for no compensation unless it was totally made sure of and agreed on beforehand (TIME is MONEY). So I was not there, I do not know what transpired, I just hope it can be cleared up.

I stepped back from Mike's board as it was his board, not mine (been running my own for 10 years and it's hard for me to be a guest) and we didn't agree on a few issues but I'll tell you what....I've needed help a few times since I've known him either personally or with a particular dear mutual friend of ours and he NEVER wavered in his immediate and swift response.
I am the one that is guilty of what Mike is being accused of and I openly and honestly admit it but I know for a fact that while he may come off the wrong way sometimes (and always have to have the last word...LOL) he is a good man and I don't know anyone (Male at least) on any of the local boards I'd turn to if my ass was in a sling as it often is it seems.

I, like a few others was contacted by mike and asked to say something on this thread in his defense.So I sat here and read everything on this thread and first I have to say that I can't believe any of this. And let me say myself included right from the start, we all sound like a bunch of thirteen year olds who are fighting after school. But, I told Mike I would post so i will. I am not new to this business by any means however, I am new to reviews and posting on boards and all of that and I dont know too many people providers or hobbyists. So, I guess I would be considered green in any event by some of you, like Ana or Terri, whose names I recognize even though I dont know them. IVe been doing this about two years in Phoenix but the last few months have been a new experience for me. I have my own website (Ana -- maybe we could talk about that in the future) and I used to advertise on CL and BP. Mike responded to a blog posted with the address to his site. I joined PHXASP. And I am also on TMANs site. This was a newer development, but Ive always been the type of person to immediately seek out those with bad publicity so to speak. If someone slams you, I want to know you. Because there are always three sides to every story. Yours, theirs and the truth. What I am wondering is why everyone is so pissed at Mike. No one knows what really happened except Eva and Mike. Lets assume Eva is telling the truth. So what? I would die of shock if I went one day without someone or everyone I talked to if they didn't try to get me to do a freebie. My question is this. Did he give you notice he was canceling? If so, then what is the big deal? He's a horny older man. I know it sucks having to fend off these advance but hey its the game. Be flattered he thought enough to try and let it go. You are smarter and more experienced than that. You wouldn't fall for it. And as for new girls, well I applaud you trying to help them but its going to happen sooner or later. We all go through these things. There will always be men who say the right thing to get them to give them something for nothing until they are experienced enough to recognize it and fend it off. Its all part of learning the ropes. Every one of us has been burned by a client in the past. Some will fall for it again, some won't but is it worth all this? Slamming each other and causing so much drama. I don't know about anyone else but Im pretty sure my hands are full with trying to stay out of jail and trying to please the clients I have so they will return. Trying to get that just out of reach 10 review that is my current goal in my professional life. Mike has a new board. He gives business cards to people as a form of advertising. I do that too. No big deal. Eva, you are smarter than that. You didn't fall for it. No harm, no foul. and for everyone else posting comments here, is all this name calling really necessary? Especially from those who admitted not even knowing this man? Mike has his faults, but he has always been respectful to me. He sometimes thinks I am clueless about how to do my job (lol), and he gets a little carried away with censoring his members about things, but he means well. If you have a problem with him, thats cool because not everyone sees eye to eye, but I think some of these comments on this thread are out of line and I just think that we all have enough real problems without always fighting among yourselves. Eva -- I don't know what happened, because I wasn't there, but you see it your way, he sees it his. I understand what you are trying to do here and i don't think you are necessarily wrong for it, but I just think this thread is getting a little out of control. if you aren't happy, then you stay off PHXASP right? There is no need to do things so viciously is there? Because that is what this has turned into. Viciousness by people who don't even know him and really by people who don't know either of you. I don't understand all that. We are on the same side aren't we? I dont know who to believe anymore. PHXASP, TER, Dave's List, AZ Meeting PLave (TMAN)? They all have their supporters and they all have issues with certain providers and hobbyists. I thought these boards were designed to help us all connect and all I see is he said she said bullshit. So if you really want to help new providers out. or just want to stop hobbyists from calling the "wrong" girl.....shut the hell up because all you really doing is confusing the hell out everyone!! Im sure we can figure things out all by ourselves epecially when this is the type of crap we are reading.....and on that note i think ill take my own advice and shut the hell up now. Maybe so and the way you just came at me with it is much different than the way he did. I posted that early this morning, or late last night, whichever you prefer, and i could really care less about much more than saying what I said. But at least you are being civil to me. He just came at me sarcastic and rude and there is no call for that.
I can handle constructive criticism when its not thrown at me like I'm an idiot, which I'm not. And I am not one to sit back and let anyone talk to me like that -- I don't care who they are. Toward the end of your post, you express a lot of anger. This anger seems to be directed toward the community in general.
Though it may be hard to admit to one’s self, at one time or another, early on in their careers, most providers experience the same frustration and confusion. This frustration and confusion can make one vacillate between anger and despondency. It can make a provider’s life miserable.
But, Kristi, it’s not the community that makes you angry and miserable, it just a few, very bad, manipulative, predators who try and take advantage of someone, just because they can. In the context of this business/profession, people who do this are sick. They are criminals and often dangerous. Every instance of their attempts to procure sexual favors in the manner described in this thread should be aired on this board. We all need to know…
Exposing this charactor and other low-life, losers will benefit us all. It will make us feel better about ourselves and bring the community closer together…
I dont feel angry or miserable with the community. i am not angry or miserable at all really. I got angry at some of the things I have read in this thread because I think that some of it is unfair and there was one post that has been removed that was completely out of line. But the type of behavior you're talking about is not what is being talked about here. I know Mike personally and I know that he is not dangerous or a predator and to insinuate that about him is ridiculous. If he did, in fact, make any comments about a freebie, which Im not saying he did one way or another because I wasnt there, then he was wrong for that, I agree, but what I meant by saying it was all part of the game is simply that I have regulars who make the same comments to me and its just a joke. It is said in fun and they dont really expect me to give them something for nothing. I think that would have been Mike's thinking on it too.
I am upset by all of this because there is a difference between being malicous and just joking with someone and I know Mike well enough to know he didnt mean it as serious as it was taken if he in fact said it at all. Should I freak out on every man who I see because they try to get a discount or a freebie. I would never work!!!!
I just think that this was blown way out of proportion. I am not saying anyone is lying, I dont know what really happened but look at all the hard feelings and all the nasty things being said here about two people who are probably really great people. I dont know Eva, but I even got a bad taste in my mouth about her for a while because of this, becasue I do know Mike and I know that he is not the person being talked about in this thread. If they were nice guys they wouldn't currently be experiencing extreme hard-ons from respected providers. Probasses (Dude) and mlevy1600 (MikeZ), you might want to consider hiring professional counsel next time you're under fire cause I just have to tell you, when you're attempting to defend yourselves against valid accustations, trust me, less is more. Really, could you guys BE more stupid? Of course that would explain why you typically target inexperienced providers. -e
