Coming out for my second visit next week.  Was hoping to hear about restaurants, things to do etc...that are on the locals gotta do list....  Vanilla.  Golf, hiking & Spring Training are obvious....but what else???

On the spicer side of life .... any ladies places on the not to miss list?

Lastly .... straying far off the beaten(or spanked) path from vanilla ..... where should I venture?

PM's welcome

Thanks

Arizona is an amazing state. I personally am all about the outdoors. I have a boat and the mountain lakes here are amazing (you can rent boats at Saguaro lake marina. I was out a couple weeks ago and it was 78 degrees!) Phoenix has great restaurants too. Old Town Scottsdale has a great night life atmosphere with lots of nice places to eat and drink with in walking distance of each other. I like the Valley Ho Hotel. Its an old 1950's resort near Old Town that was renovated years ago with modern color and decor. I staycation there in the summer when they have a live DJ on Saturday. I also like the Talking Stick resort/Casino when they have some cool stuff going on.

Sedona is just a quick run up the hill and the Pink Jeep Tours are actually a great way to get back into the secluded spots. You can go into the valley, or look at Indian ruins. Some spectacular views up there and the Pink Jeep tour is a fun way to meet some people for the afternoon. The weather is nice enough that you can be outside all day, so you should be able to find lots of stuff to do.
