Is it a good idea to spend a few minutes to see if, you are "feeling it" before you end up with Nurse Ratchett and a hour or two with someone you can't stand being with?? Same question to providers...

but most ladies will hate it. Simply because of the preparation involved when meeting a guy. I get the point though....nobody wants to spend time with someone you don't vibe with.  

From a guy's standpoint: You are the buyer. You want your money's worth. So a sample visit would be ideal. You lose nothing (but gas money) because you only have to hop in your car and drive to meet your date at a bar/coffee joint. 30mins prep.

From a provider's standpoint: First off, we are women. That means we take forever to get ready for anything, especially for a client. So we have to get ready (FULLY ready) and then hop in our car and meet you at a bar/coffee joint. Three hours prep.

Who loses more, at this point, should the guy decide he can't stand her for one minute longer?  

I think that there are a few providers out there who MIGHT consider doing this, but I'd say over 90% won't. I personally never had a guy run the other way when I opened my door and peeked around the door to let him in. HOWEVER, if I felt that he wasn't going to enjoy his time with me I would understand his not wanting to continue further. BUT I would expect him to compensate me for my time thus far, mainly the cost of my hotel room plus a small inconvenience fee. Considering I got all dolled up for nothing. And he would get to keep most of what he was going to spend initially. No hard feelings, no grudges. No blacklisting, no warnings to others that so-and-so was a jerk and wasted my money and time. That would be the adult and professional way to handle things.  

This is why some guys like M&Gs.....you get the only true sample of what a lady might be like BCD without having to pay a cent. I've only been to one, in San Diego, and it was pretty cool. It was kinda like speed dating so I was a bit overwhelmed and forgot everyone's names instantly but I was booked solid afterwards  

Maybe someone should organize a M&G soon? If someone does, I hope they don't post about it, but instead email private INDIVIDUAL invitations. Mass update emails can be sent only after RSVPs have been collected. We don't want our party crashed by the wrong people

I have only once had a meeting without speaking on the phone prior to a visit. It turned out great however, I prefer the short chat to make or not make a connection.

If you are talking about actual speaking on the phone to set up the appointment - then yes most definitely.  

I do not do anything via email or text as you are not able to feel the "vibes". So yes I require talking to the gentlemen myself in setting up any appointments.

If you are talking about meeting for "coffee" first...no I don't do that either.

I didn't even begin to think he meant talking on the phone because I don't have my number listed plus I really, really, really hate talking on the phone lol (even in my personal life).  

But from a providers standpoint I can understand wanting to talk on the phone first if that's what makes her feel comfortable. For some reason I'm able to get a vibe from a guy clearly through his writing. I tend to correspond with a guy via email for WEEKS prior to our appointment and have been successful in meeting guys that I vibe with and actually have a great time with them . I have also turned down clients based solely on the way they have worded something (bad vibe!). Now, if I booked same day appointments then YES I would definitely want to talk to the guy on phone first before meeting. Until then, I will continue reading between the lines as my way of deciding whether to see someone or not.

prefer to talk to each and everyone of my interested gentlemen; but, if by chance they are unable to do that, I believe I get a good feel for a gentleman through flirty emails; but, a two minute telephone conversation tells me much about the gentleman I'm about to meet.

3 years & going now email only.  I used to have a # to call & was available now, but the phone calls you receive daily guys who never took the time to refer to my website.  I will not go back to phone callers it is a huge head ache.

Akiya, you appear to be a very good business woman. As well as very beautiful. I would love to meet and greet if, it was in a large group. At least then you can meet several people. I love to meet people however, I have no time! I understand what you are saying however, how would you like to hire for example, an Attorney you have never spoke to. Would you feel comfortable. Neither method is foulproof. They're just tools that we choose to use to protect our interests. You don't  ever reallly know who you're going to meet until you're face to face. Dicey isn't it? So, yes, reviews are very helpful.

 I think TER should put a Personality category in our review profiles, right next to Looks and Performance. It wouldn't affect our overall score but guys could take the scores into their own consideration, sort of as a YMMV heads-up. The only catch is that if a guy chooses to submit a personality score, he opens himself up for rebuttal (comments) from guys AND girls Now THAT would make for some very interesting reading lol!

 To be honest, I'm more concerned with my safety prior to our first meeting. I don't really concern myself with "vibe" issues because once I feel safe with a guy I'm very eager to please. Spoiling my clients is my way of thanking them for being safe and kind to me. Works like a charm everytime

I can tend to be very shy and awkward on the phone and don't know what to say so I prefer to do everything by email. I feel I can get a good grasp of a vibe from a guy through what he writes me.
