There are many who do not reply to referance requests. No excuse for that. Personally I would never repete with any Inde or Agency who would not verify me in a timely manner. I suggest you keep a mental note on the ones who do not verify you and do not go back, I'd also send a e-mail to the ladies who should have given you a ref and tell them why you wont be seeing them again. Ask the service or provider that requests referances from you to tell you which providers verified you in a timly manner and who blew you off. Use the board or backchannel hobbiests with the names of providers who wont give referances. Business is Business and giving referances is the cost of doing such. Another catch22 is "who's referances do people trust" and will they even call thoses who they suspect that their screening process is lax, So being politicaly correct is a little touchy here because agencys and Inde's are not going to tell you which referances they wont use because this would cause a hugh pissing match. He said, she said, they said, BS. After you get to know people you'll know who will help and who wont. Just because people post that they give referances don't mean dick. I prefer to do business with people who run things in a professional manner. Remember "their good till their not" Cheers, Danny
