How do you guys feel about braces?  I am a provider that has just been told that I need braces for 1-2 years to fix my teeth and I have asked a few friends their feelings on this and so far it is a mixed bag of replies, can you all please tell me how you would feel, if you liked a girls pics online, then she showed up with metal braces on her teeth, would you be disapointed?
Also would you have any fear about her doing BBBJ?  Your response is greatly appreciated since I have to decide a.s.a.p.

I don't like the looks of braces, but it wouldn't influence my decision to be with someone. One of the all-time best BBBJ's I've ever had (naturally it was NQNS)was given to me by a beautiful woman with braces. She tried to use the braces as an excuse not to give head, and she outdid herself! Don't worry -- be happy.

I had braces for about 4 years, had them removed, and then the second round of braces were "Invisalign" they are like plastic retainers that fit over the teeth and you wear them 24/7 except for eating and brushing. You can take them out for an hour or two here or there (appointments), and put them back in quickly (10 seconds or less) they are only for Minor corrections though, So not sure how Jacked your grill is, but it IS an option without the metal mouth.

If you don't qualify for Invisalign, ultimately do what's best for you. My smile is one of my best features:) It's a huge confidence booster to be able to flash your nice straight smile:)

Good luck deciding!

I will be making my decision based upon the overall response, if all are positive then I will begin the process this summer.

Thanks for your input TinaPink :-) but unfortunately invisalign does not correct the bite.... so only option is the metal braces.

I think they could, on the right girl, actually be kind of cute.  My only objection would be if she declined kissing with that as the excuse.

Do what's best for your future.  I don't think most hobbyists would mind at all.

I hope more hobbyists feel like you.  I think with my hair in pig-tais and a school girl outfit it would look cute.

I completely understand where you are coming from as I learned last Feb that I need them as well.  I've had plenty of time to discuss it with my gentlemen friends and most of them are not bothered by them(some actually like the idea).
Since my situation is not entirely cosmetic(braces are just a small part of the picture), I had to come to terms with the fact that I am doing this for myself-first and foremost.  Believe it or not, there are lots of real gentlemen out there, who, if you would feel safer(for yourself or him) by doing a cbj, will totally understand and respect you.  Your health(and his) should be paramount to anything else. And yes, a good time can still be had.  Being that very few guys even post on these boards, you probably won't get much response.

If you are a candidate for invisalign, I have heard great things about it.  Unfortunately, I'm not but my upper braces will be clear and metal will only be on my lowers.  Every time I have gone to the orthodontist's office, there are just as many adults as kids there these days.  It's become so acceptable for adults to wear them.  As long as you're nice to your clients and provide a fun session, trust me, the braces should not be an issue.
I wish you the best and if you need to talk about it, feel free to email me,  Roxanne

One final note-I joined groups that have message boards for adults who wear braces and I laughed so hard when I looked at the rules.  One of them read "No fetish postings"  LOL!  So obviously, there are some people really turned on by braces.
