I am told there was a news story, possibly on channel 15 where a Phoenix Sergeant was reporting the police department was intending to set up high end prostitution stings to coincide with the superbowl. Has anyone else seen this story and does the community think it is credible? I reviewed the channel 15 web site but did not find the story.
I saw the report on 15 last night. So who’s going take care of the real crime that will be going on while the Super Bowl is in town? I guess it’s more important to catch the providers and John’s than real criminals.
Not surprised. They do that to every city that hosts the Super Bowl. These are cowardly and gutless politicians behind these stings. They want to take advantage of any publicity they can get and the Super Bowl gives them the opportunity.

Scary!
Looks like I am going to do some serious screening before seeing anyone!
They talked about the Task Force but also seemed to concentrate on the organized effort behind the visiting girls. Told folks to expect to see some prominent local men caught ...
more than one agency will be out and about, they said they were setting up stings for both parties all over the valley, hotels and bars, checking out all the sites, they specifically mentioned craigslist and my space.
They are aware that a lot of women will be traveling here and they are very animate about making busts!
so ladies here, be very careful and check those references!!!!!
Gentleman really need to know who they are seeing!
They are serious!
Terri
Wednesday, January 30: Smart out-of-town providers arrive in Phoenix having booked hotels long before the event and have appointments with clients.
Local hobbyists see their favorite local providers for the last time.
Thursday: Superbowl hobbyists arrive in town with appointments with smart local and out-of-town providers.
Friday: LE arrive in town to try to bust VIPs and providers.
Not-so-smart out-of-town providers arrive in Phoenix not having booked good hotels and have no appointments.
Supperbowl hobbyists and smart local and out-of-town providers start to party.
Saturday: LE catch a few Superbowl fans who decide to try to see a provider for the first time. LE also catch a few "semi-pro" providers who try to cash in on the Super Bowl and the not-so-smart out-of-town providers who did not book good hotels and had no appointments.
Supperbowl hobbyists and smart local and out-of-town providers continue to party.
Sunday: LE watches the game in their hotel room.
Bustred first-time hobbyists, local "semi-pro" providers and not-so-smart out-of-town providers are most unhappy.
Supperbowl hobbyists and smart local and out-of-town providers continue to party or watch the game in their hotel room (or do both)
(or if they are diehard footbnall fans actually go to the game.)
Monday: LE has a big press conference where they announce how successful they were in supressing The Game.
Supperbowl hobbyists and smart out-of-town providers go home. Local providers can relax. Local hobbyists exhale a big sigh of relief.
Terri pretty much said what they said. And I too tried to find the story on their web page and nothing. I thought that was strange or LE doesn't want us to pass it along so girls and guys have a "heads up" about it.

I did not see the story, but am far from surprised about the news. All of us, hobbyists and providers alike, not only need to be cognizant about the impact of the Super Bowl but we also are in the midst of an election year. Each one of those variables alone would be cause for LE to increase their enforcement activities. However, the combination of the Super Bowl and the upcoming elections means there will undoubtedly be a bit more LE activity than usual. Any increase in activity should not impact those of us within the community who are seasoned veterans who know how to conduct themselves.
Let's all take a collective deep breath and simply keep our wits about ourselves. Bottom line, this is not the appropriate time for hobbyists to connect with an unreviewed touring provider posting on CL. CL is one of the Ladies, perform your reference checks with due diligence. If all of us trust our instincts, limit contacts either with providers/hobbyists you have seen in the past or those who have a well established track record--all will be fine.
Just my $0.02!
Very interesting. I just returned from a business trip to Phoenix and enjoyed a favorite lady friend again.WOW! Phoenix is soooo good.Probably a good thing I don't live there.Anyway I did go to high school there many moons ago and had lunch with an old friend who is high up in the LE field. In our casual chatting he mentioned a "Hooker" site named Phoenix 411.I hope he didnt notice my jaw on the floor. He said they were working on busting the girls on that site, especially during the SuperBowl week his office would be very active. He made the comment that some of his detectives had already made appointments for that week and laughed about how fun it was going to be to arrest so many. He even asked me if I felt ok as I am sure I was flushed or whatever I was. Yikes I am thinking.Soooo, please ladies of both agencies and Indie's you better know who you are seeing for sure.Merry Xmas to all and a wonderful New Year. BJN
thank you for that information!....there were two posts on this board recently both contacted me and one had no references (so it didn't happen) but got established by someone else.....This scenario is pretty suspicious
these are the things that we should worry about or at least be caucious about!...I'm not going to tent city that's for fu**ing sure!
Thank you again!
why would you make something like that up ?
