Too much of that and somebody's going to start a competing service to TER, with the an ad campaign that promises not to use egotistical jerks as staff or moderators.  Makes you really appreciate Dingus15, eh?

I posted a message on the Boston board, praising providers Terri Kares and Tina Pink, and winkingly wishing I could be in Boston, too, when they are. The message was removed and a mean spirited message called me a shill. I am a relative newby on the boards, and I simply was expressing my appreciation for the way these ladies treat their clients. I have never received or been promised a favor in exchange for a glowing review. I've seen other posts on the boards where hobbyists compliment providers. Why was mine singled out? I guess I don't understand board protocol.

i made a similar post on the ny board about terri and ,lucky for me i didn't get flamed ( and the ny board can be tough, good guys but tough).call it want you want, but when a provider leaves on tour i see no reason not to try to alert your fellow hobbiests to at least take a look.( to me its one of the reasons these boards exist anyway)..sad you had to deal with that crap..

Seems every Board has its own personality. Some are very conservative, some are aggressive, some are flexible and some are foolish. It was a nice thing to do. No worries.

Each board has its own persona.  For example, the Chicago board is very flexible as well as TC. The East Coast boards can be pretty rough.

I actually like guys posting on other city boards, especially when a visiting lady comes to town.  We can then PM to get their feedback.

Given the recent activity, the Phoenix ladies are always welcome in Chicago.

I'm sorry that happened to you...I just saw the repsonse to you and it was very nasty...wow
Then to be moderated for 30 days, come on give me a break!

I'm sorry this happened to you and thank you for being so kind to Tina and me

kisses and hugs
Terri

RE: self delete, in favor of new post. YOU ARE NOW MODERATED

In Favor to you for your multipe stupidy in posting. I have now moderated you for 30 days. Oh, and I am not kidding. I was going to go see Thirsty tonite but now that you pissed me off, he isn't getting any. You'll be lucky if he doesn't keep you moderated for longer.
Oh, don't cry to your mod either. You posted in the Boston board. We don't like your kind, shills, that is...(we only like only like east coast local shills) ;)

But you're still MODERATED
Thank You
The GODDESS-ORATOR

I apologize glplol. GODDESS-ORATOR is not a TER mod, just somebody who was giving you a hard time.

TER mods generally will not allow posters to start a new thread to announce a provider's schedule/visit because that is considered an ad post. It is considered better form to wait until the provider posts and then reply to her post with your recommendation. The only one who can post an ad for a provider/agency is that provider herself. If another provider or hobbyist posts an ad for a provider, the post is removed and the poster is moderator.

As I wrote, the GODDESS was just messing with you. While she has magical powers, the ability to change your posting status is not one of them. ;) I moderated you when I removed your post. However, I only moderate people long enough to get their attention. Having accomplished that, you are once again unmoderated.

I invite you to stop by the Boston and NYC boards to say hello. Our collective sense of humor is sometimes a little skewed but we have a good time.

I know I have a sense of humor, but I don't think that was funny at all.

thank you for taking him off moderation.
Terri

Yes he originally posted in a reply to Tami's thread but then he deleted it and created a new thread. That new thread is what caused me to moderate him. If you think about it, there is logic as to why we don't allow this. If we allow providers' supporters to start new threads for them, many providers would use this loophole to keep their link at the top of the board. I'm not suggesting that Tina had anything to do with this or that the gent who started the thread had such a motive. However, we can't allow this. We don't allow this. Board moderators have a lot of flexibility but not in this area.

As someone put it in this thread, the East Coast boards are "a bit more rough." On the boards that I moderate I like to let the board communities police themselves as much as possible.

Again, stop by and look around. I promise you won't be bored. ;)

P.S. A moderator will never post in an alias if (s)he is taking an action as a moderator. If you click on a post and do not see the envelope beside the poster's username, then the poster is using an alias.

that seems reasonable, although the goddess character who flamed me is rude and ridiculous. Thanks for the clarification, Thirsty. Nobody asked me to make the new post. I did that on my own. Onward and forward.

That won't get you moderated on Boston. That will get you tarred and feathered. ;)

P.S. Seriously...say anything you want to about the Red Sox but watch your step when it comes to the Patriots. ;)
