My understanding...

From a source with a reasonable overview of the entire affair is that there are 8 defendants who are still not identified in the original arrest warrants. My understanding is that one is believed to be a TER member of longstanding who had significant interaction with Paul. It would not surprise me if all 8 were hobbiests or if none of the other 7 were.

There is a very high burden here on the prosecution and I seriously doubt you'll see more then a handful of warrants for hobbiests geyond any that already exist. What is possible is that anyone observed at a meet & greet, the house or an incall might be questioned. In addition anyone who used a credit card is subject to scrutiny...beyond that I don't see much of an issue.

A few days ago, I came across some distressing information about the Desert Divas bust that I’d like to confirm.

Here is what I came across:

On November 6th (just after the election), it was broadcast on channel 3 that the names on the client lists confiscated in the Desert Divas bust were going to be released and the clients charged.

Is this information correct? Has anyone heard anything else? Did anyone see the broad cast? If so, please let me know.

Potentially, this is an important development with  far reaching consequences. I've been told that there are more than 4000 names on those lists!

I think it is important and beneficial to our community that we all stay in touch and keep each other as well informed as possible.

Enshallha,

PHOENIX - There is a new push through out the Valley to crack down on internet escort services.

Two main targets are Desert Divas and Craigslist.com.

Police say there may be as many as four thousand "johns" involved in the Desert Divas case.

Phoenix Police continue to round up alleged members of a prostitution ring, which operated through online escort services.

Police can't say yet if any of the "johns" they're investigating will face charges.

*************

so it does not say either way but it did include DD along with CL in there crackdown

to an average person if you were to ask them, they see no difference between advertising on Craigs list, working at Desert Diva's, or hanging out at the truck stop on 35th ave and Buckeye.
Its only a hobbiest or a person actually involved in the business who knows the differences and the vast gulfs between them.

The real problem is education and i dont see a way to overcome that little problem. We arent going to be forming H.A.C.D (Hobbiests Against Cash and Dash) registering as a lobbying organization, buying tv spots, and getting legislation passed to protect our favorite indoor sports anytime soon.

Every talk show ive ever seen that was somewhat sympathetic to the hobby still treated the guys like Pervs and the girls like gold diggers who couldnt do more than work at mcdonalds.
If you actually know the people involved you know this isnt true yet that is the public perception.

It amazes me how much different things are in other countries, even the ones where its illegal to hobby still realize its going to happen (well except the middle east outside of Isreal, and the one time i visted Egypt i sure wasnt there to hobby lol)and allow it to go on in certain parts of the city.

I blame the Puritans and the Calvinists myself.
Bill Maher is right religion really can fuck up a wet dream.
If the business were legal prices would be 1/3 to half what they are now. Cash and Dash would be nonexistant and no one need feel marginalized by society.

have said it better.

Truly our community faces an uphill battle of incredible magnitude which--baring a complete restructuring of human civilization--may never happen.

(Hmmm, though maybe a little cosmic intervention would help...)

In any event, let's police our own community the best we can. Let's get rid of the low life manipulators and the arrogant deceitful predators. Let’s get rid of the evil that lives off the misery and hard work of others. Let's purge our community of the scum that taints us all!

(Sorry, for the rant. The Sheika did mean to get carried away…)

Oh, and one more thing; Moby dearest, speaking of getting carried away: Did you know that the Sheika has never seen the Sphinx?

LOVE, PEACE AND PROSPERITY,

i would have liked to have spent at least a few hours. you could literally walk around the sphinx and see human history in those stones and bricks.

Instead i had 20 minutes and there were guards to make damn sure we all got back on the bus.

Ive always wanted to go back, hire a guide to keep the security guards off my back. then damn well sit there all day if i feel like it.

...it's nothing new. Channel 3 has just combined old 'news' with the new info about Craiglist to try to generate a more interesting story. If it were a new initiative by MCSO, all the local news agencies would be swarming all over it.

I have a basic question that I have raised and can't get an answer. The list is evidence ,but it is also the properity of the defendent. Its value to him and its release is like giving away the coke formulation. In the DC case ,she sued to get it back. Don't know what happened. Fed's could claimit because its goods obtained illegally .Does anyone know the rules and options.
