Misogynistic?

I was surprised that only a few people picked up on Sheika Fatima's comment that this business has a "distinctly misogynistic bent." True? I asked several providers this question in the past, and they tell me that they are in control. They trade sex, which they enjoy, for pleasuring men for money. Folks, what do you think?

This business is misogynistic. Providers are far outside the mainstream. They have very little social status outside of communities like this.

For the most part, providers are perceived as objects; though, at times, we hear providers and clients making claims for the psychological and rejuvenating benefits of their service.

The more firmly entrenched providers become in the business; the easier they are to exploit. This exploitation is often vicious and cruel and it is often perpetuated by those who are most adamant about the great benefits the profession has to offer. For the most part the exploiters are men, ergo misogynistic…

Over and over again, it has been shown that the incidence of drug additiction, suicide and psychological disorders is far greater among providers than in the general population.

I appreciate your concern. I feel this is an important issue.

LOVE AND PEACE,

Sheika Fatima

I'm not surprised at all. For the most part I think that everybody knows and accepts that as long as men want sex women will make them pay for it. Don't think it's only part of this business either. The ladies know how to use sex to catch, keep and work men in marriage too. You just have to choose whether you want to pay for just an hour, give or take, or pay for the rest of your life.

You are very correct. There are many providers and hobbyists who believe as you. However, it is not a popular point of view outside the hobby.

Overwhelmingly, most male hobbyist are married. This state of affairs exacerbates the problem immensely.

Please consider the popular view outside of this community. Most believe that a hobbyist’s dislike or degradation of women is blatantly expressed in the act of simply paying for the services of a prostitute.

In my opinion the popular view outside of this community is actually just the moral majority's attempt at an argument for why prostitution is wrong. They try to tell us that prostitution degrades women in the hopes of making it less appealing to them. They also seem to only focus on street prostitution where they can find the worst examples. How many times do they talk about the women who are making serious money in the business and buying their own homes, cars, and investments? I never hear about those situations but I've seen them with my own eyes.

Presently, the question of morality is moot in all but the most far flung of arguments.

It is moot because of the social and political environment.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the moral and ethical social prohibitions against prostitution have been with us for years. They are with us even in countries where it is legal.

It would take an extreme, intense and radical social movement to turn things around. As you stated, there are a few prostitutes that live prosperous lives, but in this country and in this moment in history none experience even a modicum of elevated social status.

This state of affairs leads to various forms of unorthodox, compensatory behaviors and life styles that are detrimental to the individual’s feelings of self worth. Consequently, they are venerable and left open to many types of exploitation.

PEACE,

Sheika Fatima
