=women with no reviews writing fakes to establish themselves as legit
=men with no reviews writing fakes to establish themselves as legit
=women with poor or average reviews writing fakes to establish themselves as of a higher quality. to cast doubt in a "YMMV" way on poor reviews
=men with few reviews writing fakes to establish themselves as a client with money and for better "referal" to women who use Board reviews for screening.
The fakes are legion, even though that's commonly denied. The fakes come from men and women. The commonality is they are all an attempt to manipulate others perception of the person who plants a fake review.
I hold out that portion of the fakes that are some guy trying to get 2 fake reviews accepted in order to read "the juicy details" are annoying but impotent.
There are other fakes that are much worse.
The system will not be changed, so what is the best way to deal with these?
It seems that people who have been "faked" need to be more forthcoming about the experience and name the people who deceived them. The boards seem to be a good place to start with. Hold people accountable. But could you give an example of attempts "to manipulate others perception of the person who plants a fake review." Do you mean someone who plants a fake review, then justifies it on a board? That's all going to fall apart as others go to the provider and find out they have been scammed.

Thanks for the clarification. For the first and third examples, there's not much that can be done until someone accidental TOFTT. Then the providers can be get a "0" score and be outed on the boards. That's already been done on the Phoenix board this past week. I believe there is listing of ROB already nationwide.
For your second and fourth examples, the women being reviewed need to speak out. I know this has happened on this board in the past week. The administration can ban the reviewers, but that won't stop these same people from posting on different computers under different names. Nonetheless, providers should feel welcome to call these fakes out without fear of retaliation.
Other than outing and reporting people, there is not much that can be done. This is an illegal activity in most states, and no one is likely to go to small claims court to get his money back because some hooker took the money and ran. Stick to reviewed girls who have a good reputation. The situation now is better than before TER and other sites were around. I was ripped off a few times, and had no recourse except to get into a physical fight and risk getting picked up by LE.
Maybe we could have a dedicated national "bitch" board--and I'm not referring to the ladies. Rather, men can bitch about a bad experience, and women can do the same. Alias would be allowed. The only concern I could see with this is if someone had it in for someone, a "witch hunt" could occur. For every solution, there is a new problem.
