I am probably the most naive in the world.  But how do you tell when it is just business with a provider or friendship or more?  I suppose this applies to all relationships.  Help me out guys and girls.  Just ended my second ten year mariage and I am bit lost.

See my posting last month - "OK girls . . ." - under the handle lm72.

You never can tell, but IMHO,  anything serious with these "ladies" tends to fizzle out when you put a limit on the $$$ going out.

I'm still trying to figure out if my last "relationship" is doomed.  I have been seeing the same lady for over 4 years and even with my move to Phx, we kept in touch and I visited her a few times since.

I knew that it would never become anything serious from the beginning, but we did have lots of fun.  We would go out as friends without it costing me her time.  Nor, was there ever a thought to any services afterwards, unless it was pre-arranged.  Sometimes, it was free.

The last time we were supposed to get together was on a Friday.  She knew 12 days in advance and I reminded her 2 days prior to my departure; as well as a VM the night before.  When I got to her place, there was no answer.  A call to her phone resulted in my leaving a VM.  She did call me back; she told me that she wouldn't be home until very late and she thought that we were supposed to get together that Saturday.

This cost me 2 days of pay since I haven't been with my new company long enough for a paid vacation.

We use to call each other at least 4 times a week; sometimes several times a day.  Recently over a 12 day period, I left 4 VM's and then I quit leaving any more messages.  She called me several days later citing that she's been "busy".

Another 2 weeks went by with the same results.

I left 2 more VM's, but have not spoken with her in over 2 weeks.

And now, she never called me for my BD (a first since we started seeing each other).

Just business, I think so!
