Some guys get off on that sort of stuff I'm sure.  But as a Phx SP, you have to way the bad (unfortuntely) with the good.  Of course the good part I am speaking of is meeting a guy 'like' me.  Not saying me in specific, but a guy who will treat you with respect...now only if I can get past being tarnished =) by a certain SP (a bad thing on this hobbyists end...jk of course)

I heard there was a rule a"TER" rule that a hobbyist is not allowed to post advertisement and a link for any provider or agency....

And only one ad per 7 days not for each individual every 7 days.

I could be wrong, though......

This is not meant to start something, any normal person can see just how one sided some of these post are! so for the ones that will have to defend themselves go for it cause all your really doing is proving the point.  The majority that don't get involved on the boards can see the truth week after week and on a daily basis as far as that goes.

Blast away if you feel ya have to....But this was not meant to start trouble but only to see if the rules are being applied appropriately...nothing more and nothing less!

Positive feed back would be Fantastic, aliases are appropriate, no one needs to be attached for opinions or facts.

Agencies here have a strong presence, and it's a great form of advertising for them. Don't condone it, but if I had a agency (yuck) I would do it - it makes business sense. This is still the best site on the net for hobbying, because if you do your homework using the site you got a great chance of getting exactly what you're looking for. Besides life isn't supposed to be fair.

There are idiots everywhere. All I have to do is look at my co-workers to find them in my daily life. The majority of successfull SP's don't post there weekly schedules, and the "word of mouth" from hobbyists is more then enough. If you think TER is the only way to drum up clients then you might as well put up the closed sign in your shop now.

AMEN!!!

Happy HUMP day all!

Drum UP clients...

Oh wow, that is interesting-if not revealing-turn of phrase.

Yes, indeed: drumming UP, drumming UP, drumming UP,UP,UP!!!

How are we going to do it? How are we going to recruit those who need and relish the services discussed on this board?

Well, I guess drumming is better than hanging out a shingle or flashing neon lights, but I just don’t know.

In less civilized parts of the world, merchants really do drum up customers. They have little parades that feature the merchandize or services being offered. The merchandize could be anything: pots and pans, rugs and fabrics, animals and produce. The services offered are just as diverse: carpentry or dentistry, weaving or witch craft.

The person in front usually dons a costume and carries a banner or waves a flag that features a familiar picture-or icon-that represents the merchandize or service being offered, and often time this person will actually beat a drum and chant or cry out to attract attention. Many times free samples are offered to the town folk.

Actually, these little parades can be quite colorful. It is quite an event when they parade through the dusty streets of ones little community…

I sure hope everyone gets their chance to be the one up front. It can be such great fun!!!

PEACE AND LOVE,

Sheika Fatima
