without doubt one of the greats. I'd put him along side the "iceman" or Barkley as a great talent not quite able to control the game on his own. Bird, MJ, Magic, Duncan and a few others really seem to have that uniqueness....the counter point would be the Pistons....hard to pick out 1 guy and say he's the man. Out of the current crop I'd say Shaq and Kobe will fall into that still very elite "second tier"....great but not quite enough on their own....Batman with no Robin so to speak.

after a couple of posts on this board (the TLC thread), and on Sarah's chat, I feel the need to introduce myself.

I am jazz32, named after the 2nd best basketball player ever, Karl Malone.

I am not Jasmine, aka Jazz, who joined the Phoenix community a few months ago.

I am male, and not a provider.

I lived, and hobbyed in PHX for the the past 20 years.

I now live on the south coast of England, but enjoy monitoring what is going on back home.

its all about the company you keep.  Karl Malone had John Stockton there to make him look good.  Even if you never win a championship. a good partner will win you a lot of games.
