A news story previously reported by Dave last year about a provider in California having contacts with Oakland city employees.  According to the news, the provider in question recently received $1,000,000 settlement from Oakland. One member of the Oakland city counsel voted against the settlement citing the fact that she wanted to pay her even more cash than a paltry one million - which may not go very far in California so probably the retired young provider should move to Arizona instead now for lower costs of living.  But wait, her attorney said he has 4 - 5 other cities and counties in California next on the chopping block, as well.

Well I think California has the answer on how to stop pooning.  Give all providers $1,000,000...  Better yet, give all disadvantaged hobbyists $1,000,000 also!  Simply raise property taxes the following year to pay for it all and then there would be no more poon trafficking and everyone would live happily ever after rolling around, counting their cash, which could come with the condition not to hobby in that particular jurisdiction.  A sort of anti-poon payoff where the government pays off the citizens - much better than the punishment model.  The government has all this jail/fines deal all wrong because much better results occur if the government pays people not to hobby like the California model.
