Our PHX boards have become very dull a few ads very little topics of discussion or friendly banter very rarely do we see a new poster and most of the old favorites have said good bye, heck even the gals are not bothering to post weekly ads except for the diehards....check out SF or SD and that is where this PHX board is heading ...the only good thing is it only takes a second to read now because after a quick scan you find there is nothing of interest.I use to to love sharing but certain posters made sure to put me in my place and it worked after a while you just give up trying. I hope things can turn around but it would take some effort on the part of our community so I wish everyone the best and time will tell if we can turn this around and make this board worth taking the time to read....Victoria

What you said Victoria is 100% true. A few have made it bad for all. A person (male or female) cannot post here without getting slammed - unless you are a part of the "click". We need to take the board back and make it what is was a few years ago...fun, interesting, informative, and great to read AND post.

Hi Misty, I agree with your post with the exception of the "click" part heck we do even have a click? that's how boring it's got lately there is noboby left everyone has been run off or turned off....I did a little "research" and found the few that do the bashing and putting down are just regular guys with simple jobs that use this as a place to feel like they are big shot players because they have many reviews over the years and that intitles them to put us in our place and let everyone know what is of value and what is drivel in their own high opinion of what and who should post on these boards. I wonder if they are now happy with the way the boards have headed south....I for one am willing to let the past be and start over with a more positive mindset ...funny thing is these few men I have never met but I have heard are normal nice guys.....so why the attacks? Please everyone as John Lennon once said "Give pleace a chance"
I'm a DC gent who enjoys visiting the great cities of N America. I am exceptionally appreciative that the TER board in DC is very active..in fact it has become quite a little community. That is not the case in many areas. The value of the board is that it provides a place that hobbyist and providers can exchange info..encourage one another...have some fun banter..discuss serious issues..and frankly to sorta watch out for and even protect one another. Cities that have strong disccusion boards tend to have a far more positive enviornment for the biz. Certainly safer. Sine I love Phoenix and am planning a trip there in a few weeks I have been lurking a little, and must say Ms Victoria I share your observations nd concerns. If an outta towner will be acepted I promise to liven things up alittle when there next month with daily reports !!
Very true indeed. I used to like to go online to read the board and even post and answer once in a while. While I have never been yelled at publicly here on this board, I am really careful these days if I am going to write anything at all, and most of the time I decide that it might not be worth it at all. Yes, very sad, but I simply don't want to put my name out there to be someones 'target' of the day. I know several hobbyists who feel the same way. Several gentlemen who used to be very active have simply disappeared because who would like to deal with the drama here. We get enough of it in the real world.
I used to feel that this board was very special, and I felt part of something, now I don't really anymore because of the all the people who feel that 'us' providers don't belong on the local Phoenix board.
However I haven't disappeared totally, just been more of a lurker like so many of us are these days. I was even debating if I should even write this message. But this time I will. I think it is sad to see this board going towards the same fate as the SD board for example.

I am in agreement as well! Thanks for pointing it out Victoria. I admit I have taken a step back as well. I will put forth my effort in so that perhaps it can turn back to the community that it once was.

I went and reread Jefferys post and he was just saying for him this was a great post with good info which was true and posted by a provider. He then went on to say this was the type of post he valued ....so why pick a fight over his post and take it personally? This is why we need to chill out and let everyone express their thoughts to expect others to go into battle over this and choose sides in just not always in our best interest drama is way overated....Terri sometimes you just have to let it go ,life is way to short to worry about one persons opinion....peace V now terri give us something fun ,you do have some clever and funny posts which I enjoy reading....
The comments he made about how it use to be, the drivel, and ads was really about all of us. It was a comment that had nothing to with the original post. Chill out yea! get tired of the negative posts and guys complaining.

But, how the heck did I get dragged into this long thread LOL? I wasn't going to even comment, and still won't, but just wanted to come on and thank you.
I have noticed this also. I live in SF but I generally check out the Phoenix board because it has been more interesting and lively. I also like to keep tabs on Sweet Sarah who was my first (and still best) provider experience last year.
The providers/hobbyists on this board are very thin skinned if they have decided to let a handful of schoolyard bullies run them off with just words.
Words are just letters strung together to garner a reaction. They cannot physically hurt you. Emotionally they can but you have to be confident in what you say and how you feel about what you post and not let that happen.
People are going to have different opinions on how this board should be used and whom this board is for. I think that the board owner has noticed that and has created a place for the fellows to be able to talk freely about providers and reviews (the Reviewer board) and for the providers to be able to talk freely about issues they may have with reviews, clients or anything that comes to mind (the Provider board).
If you want to post something post it!!!
If someone responds to your post negatively you have some choices, respond with an attack and play in to their little war of words, respond intelligently to the issues and explain yourself clearly without anger or just ignore it and continue on with your day.
Sooner or later if a bully can’t get you to react in the way he/she wants you to they will stop.
So please continue posting your thoughts, feelings, safety warnings, new finds or whatever your heart desires.
The board will only be what you want it to be if you do not give up on yourself and for others in this community to standup for what they believe in.
I will pose these final 2 questions to the board in general…
Why would you let the bullies win by quitting?
If you are the bully and you know whom you are why continue to bully the posters on this board?

...and they finally went away. But then again, I don't post nearly as much as I use to. I think there is truth on both sides. Very sad as years ago this use to be a pleasant board to read and post on.
