Email problems

I am just curious, since COX Customer Service is useless:

Has anybody had problems with receiving and sending emails from COX email to gmail/ymail addresses of providers?  Either there is a problem or I'm just unlucky.....
It can get rather frustrating when setting appointments, etc.

Thanks

Go into your control panel, network connections.

Right click on your connection and hit properties, then settings.

Next it might be different depending on your connection type and operating system but what you are looking to do is enable pop3 (incoming mail) and smtp (outgoing mail) access.

It will be on an advanced tab.  you will see a list of settings with check boxes next to them.... once you check the box to enable it, a popup window will come up asking you for the settings... the settings will already be filled in correctly so just hit ok.

you might want to consult your help files if you cant find it.
