I posted this on the General Discussion Board this morning and the first response from Terrev found an article from  an unnamed provider and “old Dave in Phoenix” relating to who coined this term.

I am curious if anyone on the Phoenix Board –perhaps the Sheika– might have some knowledge about this.

Here is my post

“I am curious as to whether anyone knows the origin of the notion of an escort providing a Girl Friend Experience, a service level that I think revolutionized the escort industry.

Did this phrase originate on TER? Can anyone track it to a particular lady who was way ahead of her time? Or had the escort industry already used this idea long before TER and the Internet became the engine of choice in bring together escorts and clients?

Perhaps another way to ask the question is, with respect to those ladies who expressly offer GFE, did you learn about this from a source other than TER?

This may have already been discussed but a search back 300 days revealed no caption expressly addressing this. So, if it has. linking me to where such a discussion might be found would be helpful.”

and the old alt.sex.prostitution news groups...before the advent of the modern internet as we see it today and well before Dave's list here.

The term is actually just a descriptive used often in the old reviews from legends like "dickO'stone" from dallas. Basically a gal who was open, involved, friendly, affectionate and not a clock watcher was often described "back channel" as a girl friend experience. Over time the gals picked it up and began to advertise accordingly...
