I too have witnessed this thread theme discussed in ad nauseum over the years on many different boards.  The discussion is moot for a host of reasons namely the type of services being contracted and this is the good ole USA.....with the "strange fruit" of its unique history.  Now everyone go have some sex.......with who you can.

That picture belongs on the political board at the very least in my opinion. One of those men in the picture was declared not guilty. Hence off topic for this board. IMO

I respectfully disagree Bob.  When it seems like 40% of provider ads say something like "no black men" I thing his post is valid here.  It's disappointing that African American=pimp to most of these girls and therefore true gentleman get left out.

I don't like the picture, that has nothing to do with the topic, IMO. I can understand the frustration of being turned away because they are men of color. I'm not a man of color but I got turned away be a whole agency many years ago. The women that have pimps it's not their choise who they see, their pimps probably put the ad in for them. For the women that don't want to see men of color that's their choise. As someone stated in the other thread this is a very personal business this is not getting your house cleaned, food served to you. If the lady is not comfortable with you why would you want to see her anyway, it more than likely would not be a good date anyway. Any way just 2 cents

Bob.....my intention for posting the PIC was NOT cause ladies don't see black men it was for the REASON most ladies give for not seeing black men.

One lady even noted, in the previous thread, she gets an "eerie" feeling when a black client calls.  The rational of that makes no sense to me when criminals come in all shapes, sizes, colors, races, ethnicities, etc..  So to say "I dont see black men cause they are scary/eerie/dangerous/etc is irrational to me and stereotypical.  Hence, I post the PIC.

As for me..WHATEVER reason/s a lady does not want to see me...I don't want to see her!  As you note, that type of session I do not want.  All I ask is...let me know up front!!  I won't be insulted!!  I'll simiply move on.....

In my experience.........Toooooo many ladies love chocolate!!!!!!

For what it's worth this was written by a provider explaining her position on this topic

As I noted in my earlier post in this thread the point of this discussion is really moot because it’s rare, if ever, that one can ever really change another’s mind on a particular topic so "C'est la vie."  And as I type this, the latter reminds me why I stopped even commenting on the topic.  But WTF?!?!  One more time.

However, the author makes, IMHO, some glaring errors in her logic.  Needless to say everyones perseptions/stereotypes are mostly formed by THEIR experience regardless of how small.  Hers is the city of NO and what others have TOLD her about locations outside of NO.)   I offer the following observations:

1. Her comment "....recognize that this self-inflicted stereotype...."  Huh?!?! Stereotypes are not self inflicted they are what others believe based on incomplete data.  If you need to know the definition of stereotype we all know how to log onto Merriam Webster’s site or Wikipedia.  I didn't inflict the negative stereotypes others have on me.  I don't steal; I'm not a pimp; I have never been to jail or in the criminal justice system; I'm college educated; I live in one the top five wealthiest communities in the country; I take care of the 3 three children that come from my loins by their one and only, same mother; I've never been on welfare; I don't do drugs; I'm a vegetarian; I have good credit; etc. etc..  The majority of Black men fit this profile in some combination or another.  HOWEVER, the stereotypes that others have is enforced by the small community of Rap Artist who rap about stuff that they themselves have never experienced in any real sense.  All the Ices (Ice Tea, Ice Cube, etc) have never lived the life of a real gangsta or in real poverty.  I grew up on the South Side of Chicago and the saying was, and still is, gangstas dont grow up to be rappers and TV stars.  There are only two places they end up.....jail or six feet under.  How about the typical lead story on the evening news is......"black man does ___________" you fill in the blank.  We're a minority in the US yet we are predominantly the lead story on every evening  news across the country.  See Bowling for Columbine by Michael Moore.  He did better job than I could ever do on debunking the stereotype of the boogie man black guy.  I could go on-and-on but you MAY get the picture.

2. Her comment "....If I’m going to pay for pussy, it had better be good!  Consequently, black men are well-known for trying to talk girls’ prices down and/or time requirements up, for trying to get every service they can think of included, and for using every last minute of the call in active sexual activity........."  Huh, really??  Since my TER membership began in 2001, which I would assume the majority of members are White, the dominant topic on the boards and PMs is maximizing the value proposition.  So per my experience I would not make that an exclusively black man thing.

3. Her comment  ".......because the norms of American black culture which give rise to the offensive behaviors are the same all over this country,....."  Huh?!?!  Really?!?!  In another place in her article she notes "......and I think the reason they are that way has to do with their subculture. For reasons others are more qualified to analyze than I,......"  How can she begin to know the norms of Black Culture?  I can assure her they ARE NOT the norms that she sees in the typical Rap Video or lead story on the evening news.  As the numbers will support..the majority of black people, and men are like everyone else.....they go to work every day, pay their taxes and try to make it in this world.

I could go on-and-on but what good will it do.  People are gonna believe what they wanna believe facts be damned.  Most people satisfy their knowledage with hearsay, conjecture, innuendo, rumor, and annecdotal evidence.

I'll conclude by offering the article linked below as food for thought.."Don't White People Kill Each Other Too?"  At TheRoot.com

I know this is off the topic of what you wanted to discuss, but as far as your picture goes, it is literally making an inflammatory statement about someone who was found not guilty of murder by a court of law.

I don't want to have a discussion here about whether the jury was right or wrong.  That is a separate discussion that can happen ad-nauseum on politics board.
