I was around during the Summer of '08, and have been active the entire time before and after. Just take the normal precautions and you should be fine. The board has changed since then, many of the familiars names of that era have gone, but of late, seems more active.
The landscape has changed, much less information (real information) is shared, and dozens of new players on both sides. Since Victoria has returned, the Board has regained some life, and also somewhat of a comedic tone, which breaks the ice a little--she gets people involved. Beware, though, as there seems to be a lot more scammers and scams around town. On the other hand, lots and LOTS of more talent around, it just requires more sleuthing at times. WELCOME BACK!
