Gotta head to the valley of the sun for a few days for business....hope to have a great time while in Phoenix.  Don't get out there that much and I will be staying downtown.  Any spots that I should check out while there?  Open to any suggestions from the locals.  THANKS!

I know Mayor Gordon wouldn't agree with me, but if you stay in  Scottsdale around Fashion Sqr, there's a lot more to do.  Hotels like Valley Ho, W, Double Tree, Indigo, Firesky etc. and lots of bars and clubs. Also if you want to hobby, check the recent board posts, lots of wonderful ladies also check the top 100 providers in Phoenix. Spend lots of $ while you're here, our economy can sure use the $.  BTW, like your taste in ladies.

downtown can be cool... I live in a historic area close to downtown, so I spend some time down there.

Aside from the ladies, try Hanny's for excellent appetizers / cocktails.  If you're not afraid to take the light rail (of which you are very close - methinks Phoenicians have gotten lazy with their lack of public transportation......  but the train is very cool and easy to take), you have Durant's - classic old school steak house - so delicious.  St. Francis, a hip and happening restaurant with a great bar and HOT women, Hula's, our local Tiki bar... That's just to name a few.   The Clarendon Hotel has another excellent bar and great appetizers....

Breakfast?  I highly recommend the Chorizo Eggs Benedict from the Terrace at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.  MOST Fabulous!!!

Enjoy downtown Phoenix.  Next time you can chill in Scottsdale, enjoy what groovy places they have to offer, but seriously... downtown Phoenix has come a long way baby!

xoxo

Jazz is right.
There is lots of good places downtown. As Jazz mentioned the restaurant @ the Clarendon  (Gallo Blanco) is fantastic and one of my favs in town and let’s not forget Chris Bianco’s Pizza, Nobuo (at the Teeter House) and Matt’s big breakfast. (Just to name a few).
And if you’re smart you will also contact Jazz and spend some time with her. But a word of warning: If you take her out somewhere you will have 2 problems:
1. Every guy will be checking her out and wondering what she’s doing with you and not them (lol)
2. You will not be able to concentrate on your food as you will be drooling over her as well!

Thank you Jazz...let's just say that going to get a breakfast burrito won't be a problem if that is where I need to go...sounds like a short elevator ride for me.  Looks like I will only be about 4 miles away from St. Francis and the Tiki Lounge.

Where I need to be for my work event is downtown so staying down there was easiest.  Thanks for the help!  I hope I get a chance to run into you! :)

I checked into my hotel downtown and it is like a ghost town here.  Nothing like downtown San Diego with the Gaslamp for sure.  I had dinner at the sports bar in the hotel and I had half of the place all to myself :(  I'll try one of the other spots tomorrow night where there might be some local ladies :)

if you're from the gas lamp district in SD, we WILL seem like a ghost town!  LOL...

Keep trying, there's some groovy places to choose from...  The only sports bar I can think of downtown is Hooters and it SUCKS down there... Hop on the train, go to Tempe, check out the college hotties and you will find a ton of stuffed to the gills sports bars..

Once thoroughly intoxicated, take the train back downtown and voila!  Fun times and no DUI!  :)

btw... Hiddenhills... I adore you, I hope you didn't think I was admonishing you in a bad way!  xoxo

And contrary to public opinion, I do not work for the Scottsdale convention and visitors bureau.

the down town area dies by 6pm. I know I can see the cars drive by my office by the 1,000s starting around 5pm to get out town.

But when there’s a Suns game, D-Back game or a concert I see them coming into town.

Lots of action going on game night.

Lots of ladies are willing to come to the nice hotels in the down town area just don’t pick anyone up off the streets or on Van Buren and be careful in the bars.

But hey you already got one of our best right here in Jazz.

Enjoy.
