I bet its more about them not making enough money and not staying busy enough.

I suspect most providers don't want to admit that business has been tough for them, maybe out of concern we might ask them to lower their rates... which is understandably insulting to them, when it is unsolicited advise.  They know they're business.

Many leave for other cities where they think they can make more money.

Its different for everyone but if you think about it there are multiple factors.

To begin with many of the "good" providers are still around, at least as far as I am concerned. Mya,  who is a dream is back. There is even a thread that SS is back and off her hiatus. Some of the "good" providers were seasonal or part time to begin with. And then this springs changes to the posting guidelines on BP took a few out of that advertising venue. Finally BP is probably the least UTR advertising medium in Phoenix. There are others that DID advertise on BP but choose to advertise elsewhere now.

Additionally if you think about it the "good" providers would not have a need to continuously advertise on BP. If they are good and offer value, they build branding and customer loyalty. I don't advertise on BP and I hope I am considered "good". True I am a very low volume, and I do travel a good bit on non-companion business. But even when I travel and I decide I want a date or two when I am out of town, BP is the last place I would advertise.

When a companion creates customer loyalty, the ability to conserve advertising funds is a huge benefit. In addition it helps to not have to say " I am sorry but I am booked until.....". If you don't have to post on a board where you pay for an ad, then pay for it to be a premium ad, then pay for it to be moved up the list every 24 hours, it helps reduce the number of inquires along with reducing your fixed costs. For those of us that make it a point to respond to every email as quickly as we can, even if to say no, it makes life easier.

As far as rates go, only the companion herself can decide what her time is worth. Being market competitive is usually a good thing. But make sure your being competitive with a market that is representative of who and what you are.

Finally its not uncommon for companions to move on, become involved in a relationship, or just take a break. This was a brutal summer and honestly if I didn't have a business and family obligations in Phoenix I would have spent it in a cooler climate. Keep your eyes open AZLover, there are a large number of excellent companions at every price point in the Metro area. I know a few that I would put up against the best of the best anywhere. The talent, customer service and availability in this town is staggering. Without a doubt you cant go wrong with a well reviewed companion from this board.

I am on the East Coast today and its just great to feel a cold breeze. running around in Jeans and Uggs, its so nice.

I find that I have more "good girls" on my list than I have days I can ride into town and enjoy their company on. What trail have you been out ridin' on, partner?

Some of it is the economy.  Although, it's slowly getting bettert.  Parts, of the economy, still ain't too good.
Some is still fallout from the DD situatioin.  Also, the GT situation.  Folkes are, still, a little scared.
Some is the usual life changes.  Moving.  Schools.  Family life.
