Which resorts would be preferable for a touring provider to stay in?  In other words, which would be most convenient or comfortable to you, the client?

1. The Boulders

2. Carefree Resort

3. Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak

4. Point Hilton Tapatio Cliffs

I don't know my way around Phoenix and don't want to make the wrong decision.

Thanx!

P.S.

Please post your response on here since I am not a member of TER.

Of the one's that you listed, Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak is the most centralize for the valley.

Not sure about the others but security at Boulders is very high. There is a gate you have to go through and everyone gets checked. It's a great place to stay but if your doing incall it might not be the best idea.

Well they are all great resorts but the Boulders and Carefree Resort would put you too far up north for a lot of hobbyists to get to where as The Point Hilton Squaw Peak and Tapatio Cliffs would be more centrally located.

A couple of other you may want to consider is:

Royal Palms:

Arizona Biltmore

I am sure others will have other good suggestions.

Hope this helps,
Glen

Thank you, that is the info I needed!

The Biltmore was way out of my range price-wise.

Which is nicer, Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs or Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak.

I sure love the casitas at The Boulders.

Would The Boulders be too far for those who live in Scottsdale?

The Arizona Biltmore would be an excellent location, it is centrally located and is a fine resort. Hope that helps. Let us know when you hit town.

Tapatio Clifs and Sqauw Peak are the most centrally located. You can practially throw a rock from one to the other they are so close. Persoally Tapatio Cliffs is better. Less stuff for kids and more for grownups. Plus it is a bit more private for entertainment purposes if you stay out of the main building. I used to work security at both, many years ago.

Thank you, that is a big help.  I would hate to be staying in kiddie-land.

BTW, has anyone out there ever used HotWire to book hotels?  What concerns me is that they won't reveal the name of the hotel until after your purchase, just location and star rating.

Never used Hotwire but have heard mixed results.  What type of price range are you interested in?

I try not to use those flying blind discount sites. I use the more tried and true of Travelocity. But I wouldn't be looking for any discounts here. Winter is premium price central here. Especially as the Phoenix Open draws near. Good luck hunting. If you need any help before or when you get here feel free to email me here at TER.
