Because of the way the reviews are set up, provider info that reflects the current pricing/services are not available to us that read these reviews. Rates info has been the most commonly outdated info. Some of the info on the rates have not been updated since the posting of the original review and the current rate is not posted in the provider profile.  And just recently a provider informs me that she no longer allows a particular service, and that it was only available when she first started. Now this contributes to the confusion also when a provider has tiered pricing on different add-on services but the individual reviews don't always reveal the service fee for that. It only shows what the original reviewer's assessment and doesn't get updated unless the provider chooses to do so themselves. The hobbyist reviewing doesn't have the option to post the up-to-date information on price and service.  

I've recently contacted TER support about this and was informed that the provider is the only one who can update info on what services they offer as well as correcting erroneous or even fake info on their reviews. One specific incident recently involved a newer provider with a handful of reviews, that may have either had fake reviews or wrong info posted about her. I wound up seeing her based on the reviews, only to be disappointed to find out that what I've read on the reviews was nowhere near the description of appearance and the availability of particular services. And yet the reviews are allowed to stand because only the provider can make corrections or dispute the discrepancies on the review.  Not bashiing the provider at all.

But unless she chooses to dispute the information or update her profile, all her reviews will stand despite the erroneous and/or misleading information. Piss poor policy, if you ask me. And adding a new review doesn't really change any of that unless someone actually reads the review rather than gloss over the ratings. Poor gal, she's actually a cute thing, but her reviews just set hobbyists up for disappointment the way it stands. And it certainly doesn't help that although she is the girl in the pics of her ad, she also has an unauthorized copycat ad in Long Island here: http://liveescortreviews.com/ad/longisland/631-215-0516/1/1043815

Anyone else feel that each of the reviews should individually reflect the price of the specific visit with respect to the specific length of the visit, locale and special services provided? When reviews on providers that tour are posted, it would be nice to know where it occurred also. The typical description of session location is for example: Home, Hotel, Her incall. Would be nice to know what city the provider was in at the time, especially for the ladies that have multiple cities they frequent as they may raise/lower the price according to locale also.  

Anyone? Any suggestions?

First of all, I'd suggest you copy this over to S&P. Just a thought.

I think a lot of your complaints are valid, some of the same things have annoyed me a bit. However, I really think a lot of your post boils down to this: don't think of TER as a one stop shop for research. Put a little time and effort in. I always look at the rates on here with a shadow of doubt anyway. It's always best to confirm rates on her p411, her site, her ad, or by PM when confirming the date. As for women OOT, charging different rates in different cities; that all should be clearly stated on her site or her ad for the city in question. You wouldn't necessarily want to assume she's charging the same rate that she did when she was in your town last year anyway, so again, always confirm that from her.

Yes, it's not a perfect system because not all providers keep their TER profile up to date. But if admin is telling you that only she herself can update that portion of it, I'd say that's for the best. There's going to be less misinformation that way than if any Tom, Dick or Harry can just wander in and fiddle with it.

My point is, I never have an expectation that rates on TER profiles are set in stone. Get that from someplace that you know for certain SHE put it there.  

Personally, I think there is such a thing as too much information. IMO, an outline of exactly what did and didn't happen and at exactly what rate for every last appointment is over that line. It will discourage women from specials, OTC time, and following their whims. A LOT of women put out there that they don't do xyz, because they don't ALWAYS want to do it. They do it when they're comfortable with the person, in the mood, whatever. They don't necessarily want absolutely anyone who happened to find their ad walking in and demanding it. A lot of johns will say that ain't fair, and maybe it isn't, but I do see the other side of that coin and I'm okay with it.

Earlier this year, I met a woman with like four reviews that all said only CBJ and only upon repeat visits. After I paid, she gave me those same ground rules. Five minutes later she's swallowing my dick. Bare. Next thing I know, she's laying on her back with her head hanging off the side and I'm standing there fucking her throat with wild abandon. Honestly made me feel like I was shooting porn. That wasn't an upsell. Just happened. I don't for a minute think I'm super special and that's the only time she ever did that. But I also don't think all four of those guys were lying to keep her secret. Maybe it was because I'm sweet. Maybe because I showed up with impeccable grooming and hygiene. Maybe she was just in a wild mood. Doesn't matter. I didn't review her, but if I had, I wouldn't have given all that up, and I wouldn't make a point of saying I paid the same as yet another guy who got HJ.

I've come to terms with the reality of YMMV. Sometimes, I'm on the other side of it. However, TOO MUCH info on review boards may start to spell the end of YMMV. Which I won't like, because it will be the same, low mileage for everyone.

As far as the one you met, if her rates and menu are wrong on her profile, do you feel comfortable enough with her to suggest she update them? Like you said, it's setting up other guys for a fall. She wouldn't want that either, if she's a decent provider. If she does less and charges more than her profile indicates, you should put that in a review. As I said, I see wisdom in letting the women handle their rates, but you can always file a PR about the services. If admin doesn't change it, maybe they will after they get several of them.

You do have a point about seeing someone who tours and it ends up looking like you saw her in her home base town. That's been brought up on S&P before and I think a lot of people agree.

ALL good points Fearghas. I did post in S&P and posted a review also but I don't know if TERsupport will do anything about it. I always thought that the value of these reviews was the veracity of it's contents. I know there can be subjective differences in opinions but facts remain facts. NOT THAT I DIDN'T DO MY RESEARCH ON THIS PROVIDER EITHER. Because I certainly did and that what was available was nothing that would have dissuaded me from taking the plunge. No rates on her site, and discussing services with a provider while confirming rates? Are you kidding? Confirming a rate only goes so far then doesn't it? I do have a certain expectation however after reading the reviews (off TER & another board) and even with a pinch of skepticism. But that still does not quite explain why the discrepancies in the description of height/bust size, nor the services offered, or lack of.  Just bad reviews with false information, or possible WHITEKNIGHTING? That's always possible, but so are FAKED REVIEWS just to get VIP. Not the norm around here, I hope.

Although I'm a recent transplant to the area, I've been a TERmite for years until a move to a part of the country that didn't have any TER activity induced a hiatus. I still believe that hobbyists should be held to at least a standard of reasonably credible reviews, and that TER staff would permit, if not assist in the correction of inaccurate, deceptive info when reported. Otherwise, what's the point of having any of it? If the reviews don't reflect what actually happens and describes a provider correctly, what do we have of any value to even bother reading the reviews for? Not much of it has any erotic value anyway, at least not to me it doesn't.

I don't disagree that the information on the review profile should be accurate, but nothing about this girl seems on the up and up to me. Usually, well reviewed women have a personal website, where the rates are usually always the most current (certainly more so than a cheesy ad page). They should be on P411 too and their review numbers should be consistent over time. I think when you consider that this woman's reviews are in steady decline from oldest to newest, that she has no personal website, has no account with a known verification site, she is absolutely a higher risk...a gamble. There is nothing about her online presence that makes me believe it is going to be a quality experience.  

I have no idea what it was about the ad you linked to, or the reviews, that would make you feel confident about her? It all seemed sketchy to me, but that's my two cents. Don't see providers that can't be found on more well known and legitimate sites that confirm what you read on TER.

The fact that she doesn't have a P411 account doesn't bother me at all. I've found plenty of ladies without websites that were fantastic also. What I resent is the fact that the reviews posted were unreal and/or deliberately embellished to pump up the stats of the provider in question. Totally uncool in my book. Misleading and inaccurate information on a profile should be edited by TER staff should it be questionable and not only at the request of the provider. It can only benefit the provider when the info is in her favor and she has the deniability when she shows up at your door and claims that the info on her is wrong. How many times do you think she'd get turned away at the door? Then when things heat up, she says NO, she doesn't perform that act anymore. That was just something someone put in her review. That's the bullshit that I'm trying to bring to light.
TER policy on editing of profiles with dubious/incorrect info needs to have some teeth in order to have any credibility. Otherwise, johns and janes with their own agendas will proliferate the reviews with faked info and perpetuate a myth of the quality of service. Relying on reviews for the accuracy of it's contents is one reason why I am a TERmite. And I do take it with a grain of salt that there might be fakers and fuckers out there. But when it's reported to staff, I would have hoped that they would be more proactive about taking action to verify that what's posted isn't overrated, if not completely jacked up and untrue.

BTW, TER staff wouldn't permit me to post this on the Suggestion & Policy section since this post is considered on several boards already. They called it spam and disallowed it. WTF? The TER I used to know would welcome any suggestions that improve the experience of being a contributing member of the site. Now, TER in some ways have a form of censorship that I frankly am disappointed in also, besides the service of the provider in question. And this hasn't been the first time I've heard of this kind of action from staff but I'm a little peeved at such overlooking of blatant "errors" by reviewers, then the punitive measure of disallowing a dissenting post to be in the forum where it might actually get someone to act upon it.
